is LEBRON really deserving to be called MVP?

here is the thing. he won the MVP award twice in a row. yet. he can't lift his team towards the finals. for me. an MVP is a player who could lift a team from an underdog to a championship caliber team. Nash could be compared to Lebron. both won the MVP award twice in a row. yet, failed in their playoff runs. Also, Lebron's Cavaliers have not won any games, without Lebron's plays. Try kicking out Lebron from the Cavaliers, and i'll tell you straight. CAvaliers is not a team that would reach the playoffs. hahaha. to cap things off. LEBRON is nor deserving for the MVP award. that's all. im just saying. no offense LEBRON fans.

Lebron deserves to be the MVP. He is the "LEBRON" in the regular season. One criteria of becoming an MVP is to have a great regular season. Lebron was spectacular in the regular season. What's his recent performance in the playoffs will not affect his MVP rankings.

Like what boybato said he was the mvp of the regular season. He was able to give them the best record. It was more of his teammates not being able to step up when needed especially that Game 6 collapse. He was able to rally them from the deficit cutting it to 4. Imagine Antawn Jamison scoring only 5 points! It was also embarrassing that they lost twice in their homecourt to the Celtics. So far in the playoffs Nash, Kobe, Paul Pierce and Rajon Rondo are the leading candidates for the MVP of the playoffs.

You said it yourself, kick Lebron out of his team and Cavs would be a losing team. I think that is one mark of an MVP, carrying his team. Lebron might failed in the playoffs but then again MVP awards is judged base on your performance on regular season not a playoff. Remember Dirk Nowitzki? he bagged the MVP trophy yet lost the first round to an underdog and eight seeded Warriors team. For me I think Lebron is still the MVP, I mean just checked his almost triple-double stat and the winning percentage of his team. He deserved that award more than anybody else in the league.
