War in Afghanistan? UK's participation?

What are your thoughts on the UKs participation in the Afghanistan war? do you think we should still be fighting or do you think our new Government should pull our soldiers out of there? Do you even know what we are fighting for? Do you support the troups? Do you have a family member fighting and do you feel proud? Have you lost a family member in the war and how did that affect your feelings on it? My personal opinion is the troups are doing an amazing job over there, something I could never have the courage to do, and I wish them all the luck in the world, I feel for their families over here. They are very brave men and women, but I do not think we should be fighting the war. I personally don't think it is our war to fight, and i think that Americas influence on us here is what is continuing this war. Although the troups are fantastic and brave people, I thknk it would be better for us to have them home, after all..what happens if there is an attack on the UK and all of our army are fighting in Afghanistan...?

Naturally I support our troops, they are doing an incredible job and I feel so sorry for their families at home. But every time I hear of yet another young life taken in the dreadful war I think more and more that they should NOT be there. I don't think that it is our struggle, I hate war, our county lost huge amounts of it's young men twice already in the two world wars - enough is enough!!

Yes I agree!!!!! I think we should concentrate on getting our country back on it's feet, lets face it, if someone was to invade us now, we have no troups and no money to fund them anyway!!!! people will continue to be killed until we come out of the war...!!!
