What is your stand regarding the scandals plaguing the Catholic church?

We have heard the scandals about priests and their abusing parishioners and children. As sad as I am to hear this, I'd like to know your own personal stand about things. And how you feel? What can we then do regarding the issues?

Interesting. Perhaps if they have reported more than half of what's really going wrong, then perhaps they're really doing very well. I think that passes six-sigma ;) ? 1.3 parts per million failures only ;) In fairness to the rest, I salute all the faithful religious who are exemplary leaders of the Catholic Church. What do you think?

Thanks so much for replying. I am Catholic myself but i am not totally aware of all the dogmas. This issue has totally disgusted me and have changed my views somewhat on what kind of leaders we have. But still I salute the others who have been faithful to their vocation.
