It's a nice antivirus software.Look for other free antivirus softwares like-Avira & Eset.Eset doesn't slows down your computer. Both of these antivirus softwares are tested by me & I always recommend them to other users.

I never heard of avira or the other you mentioned. Have you tried them? What is your opinion of them? I am always fearful of downloading things.

ive tried a few free anti virus protection downloads buy i always get medium grade virus's that slow my laptop down and they didnt automatically update the system, ive been using norton for years without any problems. i purchased a new laptop a couple months ago and had problems so i just went back to norton. hp laptops seem to come thru with pretty good virus protection and they come with the virus protection free already installed.

I hear ya in that I don't like viruses of any kind. Sometimes I think that one virus attracts others? I thought I could survive without virus protection but feel this is not so. Joy

I've used free one's in the past but I don't trust them as such. The only Anti-Virus protection that I've found which as reduced the amount of virus's that my computer gets is "Kaspersky" and it can be quite costly. Not as bad as the cost of Norton or Mcafee but it's well worth it. I've only had a couple, as usually it detects them straight away which prevents them actually getting onto my computer. AVG is okay from experience, I installed it on my parents laptop but I prefer more flexible options which usually only come with paid products.

No, I have not heard of this one I don't think, but I am currently using the Avast antivirus which is free for home users, and it is pretty good, and easy to set up, and automatically updates for you.
