have you faced a situation when you have no idea what to write while planning to start a discussion?well, right now i am facing the same dilemma of what to write.sometimes a topic does strike my mind but then i am clueless about what to write.is it because of my lack of knowledge or would you advice me to relax a bit and then write on any topic?

I have never had that problem because I do it the other way round. I don't stress myself out to find topics but I start a discussion only when I have something worth starting one for.
There is absolutely no need to start discussions and I spend my time posting on those started by others and rarely start one at all.

I start a discussion only when I feel I have a topic worthy of discussing.

IT happens to everybody, including professional writers.. Just relax and take your time to think.. NObody is rushing u, and there's no deadline as well.. IF one keeps pushing themselves or force, the end result wont be as good as what we have in mind ^_^
MAybe what u can do is to write down your ideas in point form, or have a brief summary.. After which, expand it from there, making it into a story or whatever ^_^

Dude, do not die to find topic for starting a discussion. Be calm. Add many as your friends in this site. Then, respond and comment in a lot of discussions of your friends. You EARN for what you TYPE. So, comment a lot and be active in all parts of the site. If you feel you have a topic worthy of sharing, post a new discussion. I was like you before, but now I have changed. I seldom post a new discussion, but you see many ideas started popping in my mind since day before yesterday and I have 3 discussions in 3 days.
