Music that makes you feel

When I'm listening to music, I can be turned off by an annoying voice or dumb lyrics or repetitive beat that drones on and on and on. However, none of that matters if something about that song touches me. If I feel inspired or understood or reflective because of a song, I instantly fall in love with it. There are artists that I usually don't like- will never buy an album of theirs- but when I hear a song that they've done that speaks volumes to me, I will go out a get that single. Do you have that connection with any song? What song makes you feel something? That touches you?

When I listen to "All I Need" from Radiohead I feel something which is both emotions and good being, it depicts the facts of life and also teaches you that its better to look at the glass half filled that the glass half empty.

I totally agree with you! some music is way too repetitive. I find that bits of Eminem's raps are VERY relatable and i'm not one to listen to rap music but I have respect for him because of his lyrics. there's a song called 'freckles' by natasha bedingfield. I love this song because it's about learning to love your imperfections!

I love all types of music. I found these cool websites that feature like new underground artists and producers from all over the world and like beats and poets with music and more.... Ever since I found these I have been checking them out. Worldwidebeats.com and Beatmastaz.com . Oh yeah and I also found like this one site where you can get like free stuff for music. FLstudiosamples.com . Check them out and let me know what you think.

It all comes down to personal preference in the end I believe. I usually get turned off by listening to music that is not of the metal genre. This is purely due to my affiliation and dislike of many of the other kinds of music. It doesn't necessarily have to be bad music, it may just not appeal to me due to the style that it is and this will in effect turn me off and not want to listen any further. A lot of the time it is lyrics that make me feel an emotional connection, many of the songs that mean something to me will have lyrics that I relate to. I can relate to the lyrics from Between The Lines by The Ghost Inside as it discusses the choices that you make as an individual and to stay true to your own beliefs. They are also a really great band if anyone is a fan of metal/hardcore music!
