Hi Fellow Mylotters
I was just wondering has anyone ever enjoyed a movie so much in the theater you went back to see a second time or more? If so what movie was it? Although I have never done that I have seen a few movies in my lifetime I wouldn't have mined seeing again like Star Wars when I was a kid back in 1975 or 1976 that was the first time I ever saw blue screen technology and I have to say when we went to see it the line was so long it was ridiculous and people where coming out of the theater and getting right back in line to see it again it was some blockbuster movie I really enjoyed it.I probably would have seen it again if I had extra money and my sister would have gone to see it again with me.
I also felt that way about the first Transformers but I just decided to buy the DVD on blue ray instead, I like movies with a lot of high tech special effects I'm sure there were others I would have liked to have seen a second time as well

Yes I've done that before...it'll be hard for me to remember all the movies I've seen more than once in theaters...
I know I saw Wild Hogs twice in theaters. I thought that movie was really funny, and after I went with my sister and dad, my mom wanted to see it-so my sister and I went with her.
This is going to drive me crazy...I know there was a movie I saw THREE times in theaters! But I can't think of it lol! Oh my goodness...I will come back and share it if I remember!

Yes Wild Hogs was the comedy with all those guys going on a motorcycle road trip. It also stars John C. McGinley (who I love) as a hilarious cop.

A lot of my friends did that in high school- particularly for The Dark Knight and The Pirates of the Caribbean movies. I think I've only done it once, though; the only movie I went to see twice in the theater was the first Harry Potter movie.

I really liked The Dark Knight Heath Ledger carried that movie and rightly won the Oscar for it Christian Bale I was not impressed with at all and the way they had him talking in the movie as Batman was awful his voice was way to raspy
Actually I think Heath did a better job than Jack Nicholson but only slightly better Jack was really good

Hello there,
No I have never returned to the cinema to watch a film more than once, but I have been tempted on several ocassions. Nowadays films go from the picture house to DVD so quickly, especially blockbusters, that I would rather wait and enjoy watching the movie at home. It's almost at the stage now that I am happy to wait for the film to be released on DVD and watch it then at home in my own time, rather than go to the theater. I know some films maybe better to watch on a big screen but even TV's are getting bigger with far better quality both in picture and sound. It is sometimes good to feel the audience reaction in some films, which you cant recreate at home.
Happy film watching...

Hi Haddowz: I agree with you. Fils goes to DVD so quick that if you really love a movie you can have it in just some months or even weeks after its release. Even with that I have felt on the temptation of watching a movie again on the threater because, it'snot also for the good quality of the images but for the nice experience. And it's also nice to go out with your friends and share the experience. Thanks for your answer. Have a nice day.

I do not know about others, but asking this questions to indians will make you only look like a fool.
Indians are crazy about movies and everyone (including women) have seen some movie or the other in the theater twice or more than that.
In fact, there was a time, when people used to watch the same movie more than 5 times. (In theaters, not on TV)!!!!!!
Who can forget Sholay, Dilwale Dhulaniya Le Jayenge, Kaho Na Pyar Hai, Lagaan, etc????
All these Bollywood movies were great hits. In fact the second mentioned ran for 10 years in the same theater. Can you believe it????

The first part of your comment was not necessary not knowing whether or not Indian people watch the same movie more than once doesn't make me a fool it just makes me curious , this topic was just a question that was looking for an answer you could have left the FOOL part out of it

Yes i have seen some of the movies in the theatre twice. Jurrasic park, Titanic, lord of the rings, the day after tomorrow.... I think some movies you better watch more than once. Then only we can enjoy real things in that movies. If you are watching a movie first time your cocentration is mainly focused on story and the charecters. you may miss to enjoy the back round scenes, music, grapic works and more.

Hi Lakman
\
I seen all the movies you just mentioned in the theater only once though especially Titanic that was way to long to sit through more than once it got off to a slow startalmost put me to sleep but it got interesting towards the middle and the best part of course in my opinion was when the iceberg hit and the sinking of the ship great special effects

Yes, I have. Though it was some years ago, before VCRs came along. LOL I don't remember exactly which movies they were as I was just a little girl back then, but I'm pretty sure that a couple of them were Star Wars and Splash.
I rarely go to the movies nowadays. However, when I do, if I happen to like a movie a lot, I'll rent it if I want to see it again.
Happy mylotting!

I saw Return of the King three times in theaters and The Two Towers twice. I love the Lord of the Rings trilogy! There aren't many other movies I can think of. I think I saw Star Wars Episode II in theaters twice and I know I went to see Princess and the Frog once and Twilight in first-run theaters and then again in second-run (Price reduced to $1). I'm thinking about going to see How to Train Your Dragon again cause I loved it so much and I can't wait for the DVD.

Hiya cherry,
Well no not really because the Cinemas here are usually so noisy it´s much better to buy the Dvd. and see it at home in the end. Not that I would´nt have liked to go back in but as I said they make way too much noise, kick the back of your Seats and so on. I could put up with that but I know someone who would not tolerate it no way. I saw a Film about "The Transformers" the other week I think it´s the one you mentioned I quite liked it I watched it right the way through adverts included so it had to be good for me to do that.
There are so many fantastic Films around we are so lucky now to have all this.

There is one movie that i have seen in the theater more times than I care to count/ I was babysitting my cousin. All she wanted to do was see Star Wars. I think we saw Star Wars everyday for about two weeks. Her mother paid for us to go each time. I could probably say the lines right along with the movie, even to this day.

I watched Titanic twice, or thrice, if I remember right. The same with The Passion of the Christ. The Titanic was such a huge hit and I knew people who have seen it 5 or 6 times. I watched it twice with my mom. She watched it two more times after our second time. The Passion of the Christ the first time was a huge Bible-geek-nerd moment for me. The second time around was kinda heavy. Star Trek was a recent twice-watched movie. I read reviews about it after watching it the first time, and one of them made notice of the way the the director allowed light bulbs to glare straight into the camera, giving the effect that makes you think "omg the future is so bright, it burns our eyes!" I noticed it more than a few times throughout the movie and I thought that that was cool.

Hi Cherry: I have done it and it was last year when Harry Potter and the Half Blood Princemovie was releases. I went twice with my brother and sister to watch the movie. I've always loved to watch every movie of Harry Poter. In fact I love the books too, they make part of my adolescence and this is something very important for me thought. Harry Potter is a nice story. Thanks for asking me this question. Hope you are having a nice day.

Hi, I have done that since I am a movie freak. Not that I am too much money, else I would have in film making business only. I had seen a movie thrice, consecutively the same, in a theater. I was a teenager at that time and I still don't remember why I was so attracted to the movie. But yes, I remember I seen that movie thrice. I used to exit the theater, go to the ticket booking window, purchase another show's ticket and enter again. How crazy! I still have lots of attraction in watching movies and when I was a bachelor I used to stay alone, and my daily chore was to watch the last show of any movie. Lol!

Ahh.. a fellow Star Wars fan. :), though I have watched them in the old betamax then. hehehe. But when they remade the and re-release the movie plus the added visual effects I watched each episode more than once. But there is one particular movie that I have watched at least three time in the theater. That was ID4 (Independence Day). That was a great movie. Hmmm... Now you got me thinking of getting a DVD of ID4. :
