How can I protect myself from hackers? and free?

Hey guys! Is there a good reputable free program that will do all the work. Like all in one? To protect me 24/7 while surfing the net?

The most important thing to do is to intall ZoneAlarm firewall(freeware) which is much better than windows firewall and should protect you from most hackers.
Also for anitivirus software use Avira antivirus(freeware)

You can get a lot of free programs for Windows. And they will help in keeping Windows from getting hacked and all infected. You could always switch to Linux (Ubuntu) and that would keep you safe from hackers and viruses as Linux is built to be safe for servers and other things. Ubuntu makes it nice and easy to use.
Here are some free programs for Windows that you can use
Spybot Search and Destroy
Adaware
Trend Micro House Call (Free/ you can buy it for like $60 it is an awesome program and is better than Mcfee or Norton.

use zonealarm its free. but u ve to patience bec it asks lot of question initially and comp is kind of slow.. once zonealarm picks up ur computet ll be safe

you can try installing BitDefender in your Computer..
it's an anti-virus that has Customized firewall on it.. and also it has some utilities that can make your computer much faster, it also has connection optimizer, where it optimizes your internet connection..
