Maybe uniforms bring more discipline? Or are they unneccesary? Should we rather have a simple dress code rather than a school uniform? What is your personal opinion?

i think uniforms are enforced to provide disicpline amongst kids but i think its also to make everyone the same so that no one can be bullied for what clothes they wear. I went to an all girls sixth-form and we were allowed to wear whatever we liked as long as we didnt display our cleavage etc and in the same sixth-form but all boys section they had to wear suits. But in colleges they could wear anything

I don't think a student should be forced. although, I do think they are a good idea. I am a Teen girl and I spend a good chunk of time in the morning trying to figure out what i'm going to wear. I think it would be a lot easier to just go with a uniform. I'm not sure if guys have the same problem, i'm sure some do. I think if you just had a simple dress code there would always be the people who didn't follow it. so i don't think that would work to well.

I think to wear uniforms in school is reasonable. But above all, the uniform's cost must be reasonable.

No, I don't think that students should be forced to do so. I am completely against this, I don't think that there's necessary to wear uniform, instead there should be some dress code, but not really uniform. Uniforms makes us feel that we are in the school, every student must be free to wear what ever he or she likes. I just hate that uniforms. That's it.

The uniform is not only apparel, it is the identity of the child till a certain time. How many cases have we heard when a lost child was recognized not by their 'baby blue eyes' or 'brunette bangs at the side' but by their dirtied uniforms? If cards may be lost or stolen, other school tags may be thrown away by run-away children, but the uniform will always stay. The uniform also maintains oneness and equality amongst the school children. There are times when students from varied socio-economic backgrounds study at the same school. It is at such times that the common identity these uniforms give come in handy.

I am not a student any more. In my opinion, I don't like it. As it makes everybody look the same and therefore there is no personality. I love China

I am not student anymore but I've spent almost 14 years on school uniforms. Since in kindergarten until high school. My years after in university didn't force me to wearing uniforms. Time in university make me understand and accept that on the early until middle time of formal education the rule force student to wearing those uniforms. By wearing uniform, I don't have to think about what to wear today, like in university. And for me, it is important that uniform can make people look equal, at least in school. Whether they rich or poor all looks the same. And I think this is good reason to wear uniform in school.
