Hey friends...
Well, sometimes I don't find the time to eat if i'm rushing to class or have something else that I forgot to do...But these days my parents have insisted me to have cornflakes & fruits before starting my day! In the beginning, it was a bit annoying especially I'm a nescafe drinker who can't get enough of it..but no more nescafe and welcome to cornflakes :(
what about you?

I don't usually eat breakfast but all health articles say that breakfast is the most important meal. Since I work in the afternoon until close to midnight, it is really an effort to wake up early in the morning in time for breakfast. Sometimes I fail, at other times I'm successful. However, I'd like to going back to having breakfast so I'm working on it. :)

hey dear...
well, honestly speaking; I would prefer to have only a mug of nescafe!! It really makes my day although it is not so good to have it on an empty stomach but I just love it..having my morning mug of nescafe is considered my excuse during the semester as the nescafe will not make me get late to classes LOL I know it is illogical but wot to do? I'm totally & deeply in love with nescafe *_*
As for now; it is very hard to have the coffee for breakfast..mum would yell at me if i do the otherwise..so, I've got to eat a quite full meal..

I never eat breakfast before I go to work. I eat breakfast at work on my morning break and then i'm set for the day. I just don't have time in the morning to eat before I leave for work. But on weekends I will sit down and have a healthy cooked breakfast before I start my day and do anything. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day!

I was always told that breakfast is the most important meal and should be the biggest meal. So I always have a good breakfast and then can go the whole day without eating till supper time. Those that don't have breakfast are always complaining that they are hungry since they didn't have breakfast. So why not enjoy a big breakfast?
Have you ever heard of this saying?
Breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dine like a pauper.

Hey 1hopefulman!!
it is nice to see you again *_*
Well, no I haven't heard of that particular saying!
Yeah I know how important the breakfast is but sometimes or most of the time during the semester would prefer to have my favorite mug of coffee! it really makes my day great :p but now i'm having a semester break where i can't escape from having a proper meal! I have to eat a proper breakfast that is mostly cornflakes with an apple & shortly get a sandwich followed with lunch afterword..but sometimes mum makes rice or noodles for breakfast though!
anyways, thanks for showing up *_*

I work all day and its really hard to concentrate at work if I had not eaten any breakfast to give me energy. I can eat plenty in the morning because according to research, it is better to eat a lot in the morning than at dinner. I guess I believe so because break gives me the energy that I need for the whole day.

Awh that is cool too!!! yeah it is true that breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day..but sometimes we eat something not for enjoyment but would rather be for health! like me for instance; I would rather have my favorite mug of nescafe in the morning instead of a proper full meal despite the fact of knowing how important the meal is..Although the nescafee just makes my day, yet, I can't have it as i need to eat something instead...

I've never been a breakfast eater. I know it's supposed to be better for you if you do eat and start your day right, but I have a hard time choking down food that early in the morning. Gimme a Coke and I'm good until lunch. I've always been that way. I'll take along a granola bar or something if I know lunch will be a long way off or I might not get to eat lunch at a normal time, but I can't make myself eat in the mornings or it just makes me feel sick the first hour or so, which to me is worse than not eating at all.

Good day to you Smiley83,
I dont take breakfast before going to work. A cup of coffee before leaving home is enough for me. Either a 3-in-1 coffee or the usual type of coffee will do. Then another cup of coffee when I reach the office.
That's all and Happy Mylotting.

I always have breakfast before going out in the mornings, and if I'm not going anywhere because it's a weekend I have breakfast too.
The reason is why breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and it gives you energy to start the day. It's good for your health, so enjoy your cornflakes

hahahha yeah I have to enjoy my cornflakes as you said though I prefer to have my favorite mug of nescafe instead :p
I know how important the meal is, but I prefer to have a nescafe! although, I know it is impossible to have it as i'm having a semester break where mama would force me to have a proper meal. sometimes i would have to eat rice or noodles...but eating cornflakes is better compared to having rice daily in the morning!
thanks for responding...

Hello there! When I was 14 I didn't have a proper breakfast and would just have grapefruit before going to school. This was a mistake as the doc soon discovered that I was severely anaemic (lack of iron in the blood) so I had no energy for my classes.
Besides placing me on iron tablets the doctor told me to eat a proper breakfast. By that he meant breakfast cereal, just like the cornflakes you are having at the moment.
From that moment on my life changed as I had far more energy than I did eating grapefruit. Unfortunately, I am anaemic now (because of blood loss, primarily) but I still eat cereal whenever I can..and you carry on with the same regime as it is good for you and gives you energy, something you need a lot of when young.

Yep, I have to. Here lately when I go to work it is usually my Chocoate Cheerios that I have for breakfast. Not enough time to actually fix an omelet or something. I usually have the fried breakfast on weekends, like the omelet. When time ain't a factor.

hahahah yeah you are right that no need to have breakfast when waking up late!! but striking at 10 am makes the chance to have it! unless if you wanna have brunch [breakfast + lunch]!! I do that a lot during the semester where my lunch is usually deleted from my list meals!!
thanks for sharing...

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Breakfast does not have to be huge or elaborate. It is a meal that should not be skipped. No matter how hurried my day is, I always have something to eat for breakfast.

I can't live without my breakfast. Hunger makes me lose concentration and it is not good. I eat almost everything for breakfast but I prefer a large meal like a bowl of chicken noodle, rice etc. If I force myself not to have breakfast then I'd start trembling all day long

My parents always insist that we eat breakfast. And if they can help it, heavy breakfast. However, these days, my work is early in the morning and I sleep late. Thus, I only have time to prepare for work and not eat breakfast. So I rarely eat breakfast now unless there's one prepared and I have time.

I really believe that breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
After a long period without eating your blood sugar levels will be low.
Eating breakfast is vitally important and can actually help you lose weight by kick-starting your metabolism
Skipping breakfast can mean your body will start to crave something sweet and you'll end up snacking on unhealthy foods.
Start the day with a filling and nutritious meal and you will give your metabolism a kickstart.
You'll feel full until lunchtime with no temptation to snack your way through the morning.
Some studies have also shown that eating breakfast with protein and carbohydrates can make you more alert and assertive to face the day.
Overcome the reasons not to have breakfast and make it part of your day.
If you're too busy in the morning, prepare as much as you can the night before.
If you can't stomach anything first thing try a little fruit until a little later.
Get into the habit of trying different dishes at breakfast and enjoy it!

I never leave home without breakfast, I don't know, I don't feel that my day is complete without breakfast. Before we were married, my hubby used to skip breakfast too, but after we got married, my habit brushed on him and now he would ask for breakfast if we're a bit late in having one.
