To all the experts, the best player in the NBA is Kobe, not Lebron.

Kobe is on a rampage in the playoffs to prove he is the best player in the NBA. Now is the time for him to show that Lebron is still a baby. Kobe's understanding of the game, his skills at reading the defences thrown at him is unparraleled by any other player. I think Kobe is disgusted at all the fuss about King James being the best player in the NBA. I feel sorry for the Suns or any other team thrown in front of Kobe in this playoffs.

Kobe is a great player, no question about that, he has a very succesful NBA career and a sure Hall of Famer. Lebron is still young and though he already proved a lot he still doesn't have a ring of his own. I think Lebron can and will surpass Kobe. I like Lebron's all around play, he can rebound, he can pass, he can block, he can score and defend. He is the prototype of a true all around player.
Lebron is just 25 years old yet he is leading his team, he's mature and command respects among his team mates. When Kobe was 25 yrs old, I don't think he has the maturity that Lebron is showing at the same age. He was a selfish, bloated ego, air headed player. That is the reason why Shaq and Phil Jackson leave the team. Phil Jackson even wrote a book and criticize Kobe. Kobe's maturity is just showing just a few years back. And he is lucky enough that he has a great player playing with him. I mean where was the Lakers after Shaq and Phil leave. Lakers become a contender again when they acquired Pau Gasol. Compare that to Lebron who carries his team to the 2007 finals, although it was a sweep but just look at the roster of that Cavs team,it is not depth and the players were not that talented yet they dismantle the very good Piston team. Lebron is still young and given the right side kick and role player I believe he will collect more than one ring.

Hi Kenites, I agree with you that Lebron is an all around player. However, he lacks the killer instincts that Kobe posseses. A true champion should lead his team in battle and be poised when all hell break lose. Lebron should not have alowed his team to be blown out on his home floor, twice. He had a good cast around him. He had Shaq, Jamison, williams, but he failed to lead them to victory. Therefore it is so premature to label him as the best player in the NBA. Wade, of the Miami heat, does not have as good a supporting cast as Lebron, yet he survived without being blown out on his home floor.

Totally agree, Lebron can not do what Kobe is doing yet. For example, being a consistent jump shooter, being clutch, and having that Killer Instinct. Kobe by far is still the best player in the game for another 5 years. Lebron is a "King" who has done NOTHING people!

Lebron James is great in his career and he can improve more. Kobe is also phenomenal and will be in the "Hall of Fame" in the future. Between them, Kobe has proved a lot but for Lebron it is a long process but a difficult road to pass as time goes along winning a championship. With all these years, Lebron is looking for the first ever NBA Title.
