sleepless nights.

hello mylotters! how many of you cant sleep at night? me i cant sleep at night even if i am tired the whole day. i still find my self awake at 5 in the morning. and it really sucks because i wanna rest but i cant. so how many of you cant sleep and why?

I sleep fairly well but do know methods to ensure sleep in case I suffer from insomnia. Warm a glass of milk and add a teaspoon of sugar. Scrape a nutmeg and sprinkle a little of it in the milk and drink it before going to sleep. Do not take any caffeine drinks atleast 3 hours before sleep.

i dont have nutmeg here. maybe another prob is i drink coke too much. it is just so addictive!

Since I turned 50 years of age which was 3 years ago there have been many a nights where I can't sleep at all. Mainly the problem is worry and not being able to shut my brain off. I have tried everything from reading, watching TV and praying. Now adays though I have been pretty good. I pray twice a day and put all my problems in God's hands. Since then I have been sleeping so much better.

me too i worry about things, maybe thats the reason why i cant sleep. and to tell you the truth i dont pray before i sleep.

the only times i can't sleep are when i had coffee close to bedtime, i hadn't taken a shower, i want to eat, or there is a light shining through my doorway. am a light sleeper. maybe one of my reasons is the same as yours.

Recently I have not been sleeping for two nights and two days, I read books, I surf, I walk in the house and I just cannot go to bed to sleep because I do not feel sleepy so when I read books now I can see that I feel sleepy so every night I take my book to bed. But still there are nights when I wake up in the middle of the night and get back to mylot.

me.. i can't sleep early i think it is because i wake up late so my body clock adjust so i can't sleep around 8-12.. i can sleep when its around 1 o clock.. arghh.. i think i have insomia..
