What makes music, music?

in your opinion, what do you think is the most important part in a music? Say, the lyrics or the Rhythm/melody it has?

For me I listen to music which has good meaning inside. I prefer to give more attention to its lyrics and the rhythm as next point. Good lyrics will bring good feeling to my ear according to my needs at time. Because its good to my ear it will bring good things to my soul.

does beat fall in the rythym or melody? because for me that would be it. it could just be regular tapping but if there is a nice beat to it then it's good enough for me.

For me the most important part of music is its rhythm and melody, because lyrics, with no melody and rhythm or even a tune cant be called music while just melody alone is still music :)
