How do you earn respect from anyone, is it given to you or do you always ask for it? ME, I always have issues about respect when I am home. I always find myself complaining about the kind of respect my children gives me. In general, it seemed like I am not satisfied with the respect they do gave me. Sometimes I tried the reverse psychology method at home and I am satisfied. So maybe it is better that respect is not asked, I mean people will respect you because you deserve it.

Hi lotrowena, it happens to me also, my son will say some times 'i will not do, this i will not that' if i say anything to him to do. I will say to him, you should respect me listen to me coz i am your mother. He will answer that, 'okay you think i am respecting you but don't say to do this or that, i can't'. This is his answer. But i noticed when we go out for a children park, if any of his friends meet him he will proudly will say 'see she is my mother'. So we should not expect respect from our children all the time. They will be different what we think. But we should observe them they should respect others.

Respect necessarily needs to be given in order that you get it back for you in abundance. It is all a matter of give respect and take respect that matters most.
