Is your cell phone "state of the art" or do you have a regular cell phone?

My son is cell phone crazy. He's always trading up! He just got the Droid and it does more than I could ever imaginne! To me a cell phone is for talking and maybe texting once in awhile and that's it. Why would I want to use it to go on the internet when I have a computer? It seems useless to me! What can your cell phone do? Do you use all of it's features? Do you think it's worth it?

currently i just have a regular cell phone. i'm interested in a iphone since i've heard their so popular. i've never actually used a smart phone. i really don't like the idea of using the internet with small buttons and a small screen to surf web sites online. having gps capability on a cell phone as well as email is appealing to me though. i've seen other cool things on a video that can be done with a smart phone like making your own music by coming up with your own humming sounds which looked really cool so that would be a nice additon to have as well.

Hi I just usea basic Nokia as I only need to text or call from it and really do not understand technology too much so most features on a stste o the art phone would be wasted with me. My daughters have ones that connect to the internet and all sorts but I stick to simple. Ellie :)

My phone is a phone that falls somewhere in the middle. My phone has the ability to text and to be used for calling. However, it is a phone that has very limited ability to access the internet. I think this is just fine because I usually always have a computer with internet access within easy enough access to me. I really don't see why people think that they have to have phones with all of that media when that isn't what phones were really meant for in the first place.

Hi friend, Just a week back I have purchased N-97 mini. It is very rich in feature. it has WLAN, to access internet, GPRS, GPS, video streaming #G, Video conferencing FM radio, MP# and much more feature. It is mainly used for talking. I hardly use cell phone for sending text. Internet on mobile is used mainly to check mails when on move. I use it quite often. The other important feature i use from it is its touch screen facility. Actually it is too rich in feature and I am yet to explore many of them. Happy mylotting !

I just have a regular cell phone. It's a motorola flip phone. I only use it for talking on. I can receive texts on it for free, but I don't send texts. I don't have a texting plan. I just have a basic 400 minutes a month phone plan. For internet, I use the computer. This has worked well for me for years and I don't see changing anytime soon! LOL

My cellphone is an Iphone and a regular phone only. Since I do not have money to buy a more modern unit of phone. My idea is for me to have something ot use as a communication. I has an MP4 and FM radio, with built-in camera and video. Of course I want to have a state of the art phone but that is not my priority this days. I will just stick to my phone. Young ones always wants to be updated when it comes to phone, for them they may look like "In".

My Cell phone is a few years old now, but when I bought it, it was considered to be a good model. It was a Samsung D600 with Internet, video, camera etc. but nowadays they are far more sophisticated. However, I only use it mostly for texts and calls and much prefer using a bigger screen of a computer to go on the internet and a bigger keyboard. _Derek

I don't really have much passion for those high-tech and state of the art cellular phones that have been popping up these days. As long as it looks decent and does the things I need it for, I'll be okay with just about any model. The price would pay a big role too LOL! Cheers~

I have a camera but other than that the phone is pretty basic. I don't have the need for a do-it-all gadget phone.

Well its depends on the lifestyle. If your a business who is depended on the internet. Then I should have a blackberry 9500 storm. Because I can easily browse and keep updated my business. Also can store message and write an email. Or to chat so I can have a cheaper communication than call. If there is an emergency, I take pictures or video so I can have a good reference and info for the product.

I have a high tech phone, and I suppose some poeple thing that maybe it is to high tech, but it has lots of features to it. Some I use and some I don't, but it is nice to have them just the same. I can watch vcast videos on it as well youtube videos, and I can access mylot from my cell phone, and post responses. It does a real good job of it too, and I hope to have this phone for a long time. By the way, it is a Samsung Omnia 2, and it has a touch screen which I like. I have always wanted a touch screen phone, and now that I have it, I am going to enjoy it. Take care, and have a very good day.

As of this time, I'm using one of the latest cellphone released. I can access the internet through it and can post responses in myLot using my mobile. It was quite expensive when I bought it 3 weeks ago but it's worth the price.

i have a nokia N97 mini and i like it. dont know if it can be called state of the art by others but for me it is a bit state of the art. it has both touchscreen and keypad features, wifi, 3g, and bluetooth enabled, and well, it is a smart phone. i think though that i am not fully using it as a smartphone. i just use to for calling, texting, surfing, taking pictures, and listening to music. oh yeah, sometimes mobile banking too and skype.

My cell phone would be considered "state of the art", it is an Apple Iphone. I went from a flip phone to it. And I'm still learning how to use it. I have internet capabilites on it, but I would rather use my computer to get on the net. It is so much simplier than trying to figure out how to get the zoom to work on it. Sometimes I like it, and sometimes I don't.
