Can I just say that some men are also take the time before heading out the door. Men that are not necessarily gay...they are called metrosexuals. it just goes to show that gender is not even the issue. Men or women who pride themselves and simply want to look their best all the time take time and make sure they look presentable before they walk out to the world.

For getting ready to leave the house can take some time of course. I think it depends on where you are going too. If you have to dres sup like going to a wedding you are going to take time to look your best. For me like going to work or the store i will do my hair, do my make up which can really just take me about 10 minutes. If i want my hair curley than i will put in culers which can take about a half hour to get the hair done curly. While i have curlers in i will do my make up and get dressed. It really doesnt take long to get everything done at all. I know a lot of people who take a long time to get ready. I think they are pickie about themselves and don't like the way they lok and change outfits numerous amount of times and that is all part of getting ready for some people.

It is because we care about our appearance. We wish more men would take more time with their hygiene. One never knows who they will meet when outside, and it is important to look your best at all times. It is not a girly thing, it is a human thing.

I don't often wear make up myslef, only if my skin is particularly bad or blotchy. Even then I just put on a little powder, blush and eye mascara. We do it because it makes us feel better about ourselves, and if we feel good about the way we look, we tend to be more confident and smile more.

Ofcourse we have to look good, cause without it we look pale and ordinary. Girls has a lot of kind of make. There is foundation, face powder, eye brow, eye liner, lipstick, lipgloss, blush on and a lot more. So if you are going to put that in your face it will really take some time. If the girl will fix her hair, it will also take some time.

it doesn't really take me that long to put make up cause i don't put much make up. i just put make up to add color on my face cause i really look pale without it.

Well, for me the hair takes the longest. You have NO idea how hard it is to straighten your hair when you have a head of thick, full, unruly hair. It probably takes me about 45 minutes to 1 hour to perfect it. Unless I'm in a rush, then I'm obviously going to take less time as I HAVE less time. As for makeup, my makeup is pretty straight forward - I use foundation (and primer for the foundation), sometimes bronzer, mascara, and eyeliner. This might SOUND like a lot but there are a lot of girls who use MUCH more than I, and that may be why my makeup only takes 5-10 minutes. Girls can be funny. Some of them don't care whatsoever at their appearance, others LOVE to get ready - and I'm caught somewhere in between. I get ready, but my makeup only takes about 5-10 minutes to do. I don't go overboard, and no, I'm not afraid to leave the house without makeup on (although I try not to). I have girlfriends, though, who literally take THREE hours to get ready. They care that much. I could never figure out if it was because they wanted to impress guys, or if it's an internal thing, or what the reason behind taking 3 hours to get ready is/was.

Unless I'm going somewhere special I don't spend a lot of time getting ready. Doing my hair takes the longest as I have really long hair and it takes forever to dry and straighten. I don't bother with a lot of make up unless we're out some place fancy. But that's just me.
