who wouldn't be? i mean people should be more tackle to issues during the election period. but NO, they had to praise and defend they're candidates while people like me tackle and coordinate on issues had been put before and now. evenissues with richard gordon were not spared but at least we were open minded. they allow gloria to run and created immediate appointments which was not ALLOWED by the constitution since she's an outgoing President.

The source of the article still has to be confirmed and the person responsible for it will have a busy time in the courts. Anyway, the accusations are plausible. I even have worse ideas imagined that they can do. But this currency exchange rate is a brilliant work of plunder. I didn't expect it can be done at all.

I agree...I really can't believe that the currency exchange and lotto results can be manipulated. If this article is really true, then they really have to pay for.

So, who did you vote then??? Shocking? i have seen that two months ago, as such articles are posted always in the fan page of richard gordon. probably it's just there to make us nervous not to mention we haven't heard anyone filing a case against Gloria Arroyo. am sure she might get a way from it again Why should I be shocked?! that's why i had to vote for Gordon because of these Issues and only people are now digging with these issues where me and other volunteers had dig this issue since we started criticizing arroyo and other candidates.

This was just shared by a friend tonight since I am really not into facebook regularly and boy, I'm a bit shocked by this article. As for who did I vote for, like you I also voted for Gordon since I believe that he is capable of helping the country prosper like what he did for Gapo. It's just too bad that he didn't win. We might have become a great country under him if given a chance.

I've seen that article months ago. What have I done about it - I voted for the right person. What can I do about it now? - Nothing, I guess. I just hope and pray that this article, if true, be seen by people who can actually make a difference. Like senators and congressmen and such. Now, I think it's slowly materializing because our soon to be president promised to go after the Arroyo family and make them pay for their atrocities. I just pray that what he says is true and he delivers.

if this is of any truth, i really pity us. we're a great nation, but the people in the position are hungry for money to the extent of depriving the Filipinos their right to fair treatment. there should be a serious screening and certain qualification before one can run during elections. why is this happening to our country? it makes me angry hearing things like this. what a sell-out. =(

That's the way politics are now here in our country...dirty. Some people get elected by popularity and because of money. We are a great country, but we are deprived of that because of these so-called social cancers that we can't overcome.

Consider the source and take his statement with a grain of salt. The government has always been manipulating the exchange rate. That is one of the sore points between the Philippines and international financial institutions such as World Bank. I am not really surprised, the government, any government will do everything to protect its own currency value. It's the government at work. It's how international financing institutions rape our country and this is the government's way of stopping these institutions. As for the news on the Arroyos, come on, its clearly black propaganda. No source? That's hearsay. You cannot just accept everything at face value. I am not a big Arroyo supporter and like everyone else, believe the allegations of corruption, but I do know that accusations are not evidence.

This is a bad news for all filipinos who are earning dollars. This should be dealt for a proper investigation. Imagine that all over this years, the government is manipulating what could have been a good earnings for all the people with one thing in their mind,"to earn monney".

Well not shocked with it anymore. I think this has been a known fact before and until today there is really no real action against this. I hope the incoming administration will look into this and not join the existing system.

I am not sure exactly if it is all true because the foreign exchange is very hard to manipulate since it is not hidden from the public. There's also an appropriate sanction if it will be manipulated. Though I detested the Arroyo regime because of its direct involvement to graft and corruption controversies, it's difficult to comprehend if they will gone too far with their greed by manipulating foreign exchange. This is a serious allegations that must be brought to concerned agencies and personalities. Why this did not appear in national news?

I'm not shocked that Mrs. crocodile Arroyo was doing some hocus focus on the money that should only be for the Filipinos and not for that crocodile's family. I mean, she must definitely be ashamed of herself on what she's doing. She had a lot of bad and evil schemes to be rich or rather be the richest. She actually used her intellect not for helping the Filipinos but to manipulate the Filipinos. This is actually a big reason why Filipinos would rather prefer having an honest president rather than an intelligent one. God bless the Philippines and the Filipinos in the coming administration!!!

I've read the article supposedly quoting World Bank and I have to say it doesn't sound like World Bank at all. It's too speculative. Regarding dollar exchange rates, the government (ANY government for that matter) can and should influence it with institutions like the Central Bank to protect the nation's financial stability. As for the lotto fraud, I don't think it would be that easy to manipulate the outcomes especially when all the balls are weighed and measured every draw. I do believe proper, unbiased, and due investigation should be done by our incoming administration for all the corruption allegations against the Arroyos. And for us, fellow Filipinos, let us promote hope for our nation!
