It is now official, Jack replaces Jacob

Jacob's ashes in the fire allowed him to be seen by all the candidates, including Kate since she had been crossed off for being a "mom" but isn't anymore. Of the four there, Jack, Kate, Sawyer and Hurley, Jack volunteered to take Jacob's place and to protect the Island. Would you have rather it be one of the other candidates?

You know what, I was actually bummed that it was Jack, I mean, come on, how many people were guessing it would be Jack?! Everyone knew it would be him or that it would at least come down to him and Sawyer but that part was anti-climatic! They were just sitting around and of course Jack stands up like "Its me, its been me all along, thats what I'm here for..." no offense to Jack lovers but it was just like "whoopdie doo, didn't see that coming...". They should have shaken it up a little, ever since the possibility of candidates came up everyone has been saying it is Jack but hoping it would be someone else interesting. But what can we do, Jack is the new Jacob.

it does seem right that Jack would replace Jacob as he was the head of the group from the beginning when they first crashed on the island. i think his life back home wasn't very good. it will be interesting to find out the outcome of all of this. i can't wait until sunday and 7pm to see the finale....

I've watched from the start and have been glued to the TV ever since! I'm sad the the series is ending, I'm sure they could have found many, many more story lines for this show.
I'd think Hurly would be a good candidate for Jacob's replacement, he has a good heart but he's fooled easily...I can't wait to see the out come, I hope I'm not disappointed.
