help~~can anybody tell me the meaning of "beta to my alpha"?

I would suggest that it means something along the lines of: "in something that we both do/have knowledge of, I am the best, and you are second only to me" ... or "I am the leader, and you are my deputy" ...
I base this on the knowledge (earlier stated) that alpha and beta are the first two letters in the Greek alphabet ("alpha" "bet").

I guess its refers to the examination performance.Alpha is the highest grade or mark and beta is the second grade or mark in the examination.So the sentence is mean that the score has raised from second grade to the highest grade.

Is that not "B" to my "A". Because Alpha is the first letter of the Greek Alphabet, and Beta is the second letter of the Greek Alphabet. I could be wrong, I frequently am, better examine the facts.
