I take promises seriously. I don't think I could handle people who can't keep a promise. But, if a person is someone that everyone knows can't keep a promise, then perhaps I couldn't care less nor would I even try to think of expecting him/her to do as he/she promises to do.
I could honestly take into heart this topic because I recently felt being betrayed by a person I truly loved. You see, he promised that we'd meet again next month, only to talk about it the other night and he has forgotten that it was next month and not in July! I was so expecting him next month, couldn't focus with work because of my excitement, only to be told the other night that he thought that our plans was in July.
Anyway, everything is fine now, but I would not be the same if we didn't get to talk about it. I for sure wouldn't be okay about it.

First I must accept that promises are said to be broken. IF someone makes a promise to me and then breaks it, the initial and normal reaction is that I will for sure get mad or get angry. But, I will evaluate and understand also why he or she wasn't able to fulfill or to do his/her promise to me. Everything has a reason. But for someone who have the habit of giving promises and not do it, that might be PD already, lol - Personality Disorder.
