First Time Screw on Job

I'm new in my job and I felt criticized. I'm trying to do what I can but the head is always assuming that I can't do the job. I admit I'm screwing the work at first but can they just give me time to work on my mistakes till I get the work right?

Companies today are looking for people who learn fast and work under minimal supervision. If you wanna be praised in your job you have to show them that you have those qualities. And smile while you're in the process.
