I had a very harrowing experience yesterday. I could open the inboxes in yahoo as well as hotmail. But none of the mails were opening. Not only that. I could not delete or do any thing. Not even sign out. All further links seemed to be non-responsive. I even tried access through Firefox, doubting IE, with same result. Yesterday I scanned my laptop fully using Kaspersky, my installed AV software. Took nearly 3 hours against normal 25 min. No gain. Checked IE security which is medium-high. Normal. Fortunately, this morning both mails started behaving normally. I am at a loss to understand such abnormal responses from both mail sites which I have been using for almost 10 years.
About a week back, yahoo did not accept my username and password. After overnight sleep the next day it became alright. Thought there was a server problem.
I am not saying there are any weird 'spirits', but could this be due to hacking or just a genuine problems with the servers.
Strangely I could continue work accessing all other ptc sites, mylot etc. without interruption.

i think it might be the problem of the browser. Just change the browser and try again.
Usually it happens with opera browser.
best of luck

I felt that could be the case. I am using the IE8 downloaded from Microsoft. I had also tried mozilla firefox. Funnily, each day after a few hours of shut down of the lap top, I seem to be accessing the mails. Thereafter the story repeats. I am thinking I have to reinstall IE8. What do you think?
