man from apes, or apes from man..?

i've seen Darwin's theory, i read religious books, i've read research papers by anthropologists and i stay tuned to the Discovery Channel...
but looking around today, it's as if man is slowly reverting back into unthinking apes. or are we turning into them? there are so many social issues, moral issues, psychopathic criminals, wars and so on.
and those are just the big issues.
people are getting less polite, chivalry has taken a back seat, manners is gone and common sense is just not that common anymore.
i thought man evolved and learned to be civilized, progressed and continuously improves for the better. but when you turn on the news, there's only so much negative news that kind of shows how we're actually digressing. chimpanzees and orangutans seem more civilized sometimes..
so, man from apes? or apes from man?
...no offence to the apes.

Definitely the former was right ---- as per my Social Studies Text Book ---i still remember the transformation of Apes to a complete Man
We are working hard to prove the latter wrong --- but human mankind end up showing their true colors in the Wrong places rightfully

it's as if we're completing that whole big circle of life. soon womankind will revert wearing less clothes..and mankind will revert to just sitting around and looking at womankind with less clothes.
oh yeah, we're already doing that..

Before I read all the comments and your responses there... based just on the topic opening lines... ....
I fully agree that at least one man is reverting back to the unthinking apes.. . Who else, but.. our beloved MARIO...
----------------------------------
you tried to drag in as many controversial subjects as possible. The SOCIOLOGY never accepts what its own sister subject.. ANTHROPOLOGY proposes, and vice-versa.
Morality is a comparative subject. Psychology is still not clearly understood.
... in all, it depends on the glasses you wear, before you see something.
if it were green, the color RED appears BLACK to you.
and, if it were through a microscope that you are looking, it is called, making mountains of mole-hills. ..
Goodluck. I did not mean any OFFENCE either. to the apes, I mean...

hahaha. i just recollected.
can you say, why we all have TONSILS in our throat. ?
-------------------------------------------------------------------
VERY mature content: WARNING
just when the evolution is taking place, we all used have them hanging .. in two sets. that is total FOUR. for males, .. and one pair for females.
it was like this: ... once, when the dinosaurs were chasing the first couple, who just turned into HUMANS, .. there was such a SHOCK, that one pair of b@lls got so squeezed, they got lodged in the throat. ...
And, they happily lived there, causing all the choking, ever after. Now, you know why some prefer to go deep into the throat. To meet their old pair ..
so, this is the story of evolution of tonsils.

I am agree with you but one difference. I think man from apes are true. And it true from the point of anthropology. But from the present nature of man, sorry, not only man, the present nature of human, both man & woman, indicating that we are going back to apes. Other way we can say that human starts journey from cave and as the earth is round we are going back to the cave. Our behavior, cruelty, selfishness all are very similar to apes. But in Jungle there are some rule, a weaker not bitten by a stronger in the same community, rather it is helped by other.

yup...at least in the jungle, the beast kill because they need to eat, not just to test some new fancy weapon
it's really depressing when we turn on the news and watch all the sad things happening around us

for those who're losing their humanity this way, they're just replacing it with stupidity..
we only have one life & one world..i always wonder why can't everyone see that?

well, who know maybe in future we may switch places with apes. But still even am confused is it we humans who are civilize or them,i wonder what would be when apes were to rule this place am sure they wont this to end this world like humans with nukes.so far we made it this far without any trouble and i hope we get onto somewhere in future.anyway lets hope for the best.

mario.. are you standing for president?
since when did you start talking softly? I am shocked. Are you deleting your account here? .. or did someone warn you of dire consequences. The INSPIRATOR on RESPIRATOR?
-----------
Fireheart.. i remember a cartoon show, where all the babboons and monkeys in a zoo are talking among themselves feeling PITY of the "human specimens " .. who walk to them, and stare at them.
AS YOU rightly said, there may soon be a day, when we switch roles. and get doomed too. because of our dependence on technology, which is destroying the nature.
I am not talking on behalf of green-peace. I am just supporting your query about CIVILIZATION. are we? with all the destruction and nuclear waste

yup...i really do hope that civilized man can stay civilized regardless the challenges that are faced everyday. the future wouldn't be that bright if peace & politeness get swallowed up by heartlessness and rudeness..

Sounds like you need a good dose of the 'Real World'.
If you can tear yourself away from the Discovery Channel; newspapers; 24/7 News Channels; cities and go and live somewhere un-glamarous for a year away from those desperately seeking wealth and power you may well find that the other 4 billion people in the world are really quite nice and friendly and polite so long as you are nice and friendly and polite.
What would you put in a newspaper to make it sell?

you're right smacksman fortunately, there's still alot more good people out there than the bad ones..billions more
if it were up to me, i'd try not to put bad news in the papers. maybe more recognition of good things that people do.. it's when the media splashes all the negative news in front of us that we have this un-cool perception about our world.

yup..and the orangutans seem to be more civilized now. it disgusts me when normal folk who are supposed to be 'civilized' are simply dumping new born babies everywhere..
even apes know how to appreciate life, unlike some of the sad & disturbed people in the world today..
*sigh
