What else do you do while in class aside from taking notes?

We are not allowed to use computers and cell phones in the class here in India. SO our max attention goes to the class. Apart from that there's always chit chatting with friends, playing pranks on them when the teacher is not looking and stuff like that. bourne

there are times that i would borrow my friends laptop (since i'm lazy to bring mine XD) and check my facebook account. or i would talk with my friends and pretend that we're listening when he's looking. but most of the time, we're so not taking notes. oh and we love playing TapTap Revenge on iphones and we're like so competing with each other XD --but it depends with the subject. if it's math, then i'll give my full attention to the prof.

I guess I just end up staring at the professor and daydreaming. I usually at least pretend to pay attention even if I really aren't. Sometimes in class the teacher assistant would walk around the room and look for the people who are playing games on their laptop and yell at them so I don't think it's a good idea.

When I am in my class, I always put my notebook in front of me, then I also open my laptop and as the laptop is toward me then I will do many things at the same time but hearing the teacher from one ear too as if he will ask question I will make sure I do not look as a stupid to say "Can you repeat the question please".

good for you, you have a computer and your teacher allows you to surf and even do mylot. well, some teachers do not really mind what their students are doing. they just pass the time to earn their meter. for me, a boring teacher deserves a good snore... snoring the time away on a boring class prepares me for the other or recharges me after an interesting one...

I don't use my laptop at school, but I like to draw in my notebook while I am listening to the teacher. I usually take notes, but it depends on the topic that we are studying. If I find it really hard to understand the things that our teacher is talking about or if I don't find it interesting at all I tend to daydream a lot instead of listening. I remember one class where the teacher was talking about a topic that I wasn't interested in, and I wasn't paying attention. All of a sudden our teacher asked some of the students to come to the blackbroad and they had to use the information that he had just given us. I was really nervous that he was going to pick me, because I wouldn't be able to answer the questions at all. I was lucky, he didn't pick me, but I decided to pay attention the rest of the lesson

Honestly every time I'm at school I always day dreaming, I only give maybe 40-50% of my attention to my teacher, and when our teacher is not in the room I also go out and sit in the hall way, listen to music or having some chit chat with my classmate, I rarely take a note, because I really hate it, I really have a bad penmanship, so it's useless I can't even read my own hand writing, I try to change it but nothing happen
