I'm confused on whether or not to graduate this year. If I graduate I'll finally be living at home for sure after four years that went by super fast. The problem with that is that I get bored at home.
Pros:I'll be able to increase my GPA, get Professor Recommendations by forming relationships, and getting Internships. Recs and GPA matters for grad. school and Internships are important for jobs, because jobs usually require experience.
Cons: About staying another year is that it'll cost me $4000 out of my own pocket, despite the free money I get for grants. I won't be able to take care of my dad. I would have to find a new place to live in. Not sure what I'm going to take next year. I don't know what I'd be able to do with another social science major.
Currently I have: International Studies Major
I could possibly double major in political science , anthropology , or sociology.
So I'm really confused. What would you do if you were me? Would you stay an extra year or would you just graduate and try and look for a job with what you(I) have.

I were in this position two quarters ago. Actually, I was supposed to graduate in fall 2009, but back then I had business admiinistration with marketing option. And all I was hearing was that there was no job in marketing. So I stayed one more year to do corporate management. Only difference between us was that I didn't have to pay anything from my pocket. I had the grants and loans.
In your case, I think you shouldn't stay another year in school because you are paying from your pocket. But if you wish to stay in school have another option from Internation studies if it is offered. This will make you more knowledgable about what you are doing and at the same time not stay in school full one year but maybe two semesters. Meanwhile, you can also finish your internship.

Markleob and Patersh, I don't really think it's a waste of money. How can it be a waste if you'll benefit from it? But I agree, you should graduate eddy. First because, you said you don't know what you'd be able to do with another social science major. You just wanted to stay to increase your GPA and get recommendations. You can still get recommendations without staying another year if you really wanted to. Secondly, you can still get an internship after graduation. And thirdly, you won't be able to take care of your dad if you stayed another year. That, I think was the most important reason to graduate. To work and take care of him at the same time. You can help him with the bills, and give him company. ;)
