i am just happy with my purhcase of new cell phone. i felt i made the right choice for buying nokia 5230. i was reading lots of reviews about this one and asked around for its price on near mobile stores around my place .and i get to find a good deal. for 7,300 pesos, it is a complete package with free memory card of 2 GB already, usb cable and charger and with stylus included already. so pretty happy about it. it cost like $160. for me that is quite okay already. not cheap but affordable. i don't have much money and so this is the only touch screen from nokia that i can afford. it is not the cheapest, the cheapest is nokia 5233. but this 5230 has 3g in it which runs faster when using the internet so with few bucks more i just purchased this 5230.
i was really confused at first on how to use this touch screen phone. as it is the first time to own though i have tried other touch screen on other brand but not really get to play with that long. i see lot of people are using touch screen also. so i will not say that i am one of the first ones who have owned a touch screen. this is not the best touch screen either. but for me i am already with it. cause the camera is great and very much decent and the video is great too. there are some cons to it. but the pros outweighs the cons and so it is still pretty a very good purchase i think. it is really worth the price.

You have got a good nokia phone. I am using a chinese phone which i bought one year back. Before that i was using a nokia phone6230. As i was in the need of a dual sim phone, i had to choose the chinese model. Normally nokia does not produce dual sim phones. Now are they producing any dual sim phones? My chinese phone has touch screen,tv facilities. I have to use it very carefully because knocking/dropping may damage it seroiousely unlike nokia. Nokia phones have shock proof. In futura i am planning to buy a dual sim touch scrreen nokia phone if they produce.

we also have local brand that looks like blackberry. but i don't trust those local brands. as they are not popular like nokia and other established internationally known cellphone brand so i don't buy them.

i have not heard of that brand. is that nokia or other brand. anyways, blackberries or similar to that are cool phones. i have not tried using one though. wish i can afford to buy one as my collection of phone. but i can only afford one phone at a time.

I just got a new nokia 5800 for my birthday present from mom. It is also a touch screen cellphone which took me a while to get adjusted as this is my first cell phone using touch screen. The best feature about this nokia 5800 is the music as it has quite good in built sound system. Besides having internet facilities.

yeah 5230 is more like copied from 5800. but the sound here is not that good. but it is still okay as i can afford to buy that 5800 and also i am more concerned on camera only. i think yours have a better physical build and it looks more like made of metal but mine is made more of plastic. and the screen is bit smaller than 5800. but still it is a great price for me.
so besides that differences the other features are pretty the same with 5800 and 5230 and the same quality on camera and videos.
i don't really know how to upload a video from pc to cellphone and how to transfer music also. and my 3g is not yet activated on the phone and waiting for the mobile company to activate it. and so i can't use the OVI music yet. hope to fill my cellphone with lots of music and movies soon.

Wow, good to hear that you've got a new mobile phone. i am using a touchscreen phone as well, apple iphone 2g. i bought it as a second hand unit at greenhills, san juan. i love my phone. it is packed with interesting features. i love the fact that i can put lots of applications on it (cooking mama, cooking dash, bar rush, broadway cafe, wedding dash, dictionary, maps, world flags, medical e-books, photo enhancer and a lot more)... apart from iphone, i have got nokia e63 too..

I purchased the phone I am using, back in March, and it is a very good phone, and I am really enjoying it. It is a Samsung Omnia 2, with a touch screen, and lots of other features, including internet. I can access mylot from my phone, and that is one of the reasons I bought it. It does a real good job of accessing mylot, even though the screen is small compared to a computer screen. There are some features in the phone that I might never use, and others I do use. I like watching vcast videos, as they are crisp and clear, and I can watch tv episodes on it as well, and I like thaqt too. It is a very good phone over all, and I am glad I bought it even though it cost me a lot of money, but it was worth it. the battery is a good battery as it lasts a few days before i have to charge it again. Take care, and happy mylotting. ![](/Content/images/emotes/happy.gif)

nokia e51 is my newest phone but this is not so new since i owned for more than a year now. i bought this a little cheaper since this is something sold by a not so big store, not a nokia dealer. but the unit is new that time. i like this one cause i can surf the net when in wifi hotspot, though it doesn't have a camera. but the 2gb memory card is included.

hi hotsummer
yeah your phone is great, now i'm using a N73 phone and i like to replace it with touch screen phone but just last month i changed my mind cause i've read a lot of reviews about touch-screen phones it says that touch-screen phone can be useless after the damage on it's touchpad.. but i also think that it depends on the users i think you will be careful handling your phone, be careful while touching its touchpad because it's kind'a sensitive you can also use creen protector to protect your screen from any scratch from using it's touch screen capabilities..
have a nice day..

I use Nokia 5800 Xpress Music. As the name suggests, its the music which makes this phone stand apart.

My latest phone is the Nokia 97 which I bought a year ago. I'm now setting my sights on the Vivas Pro from Sony Ericsson
