again and again, we lost one of our great man, GESANg. do you know gesang? how much do you know him? i read in vivanews, that gessang passed away in RSU PKU muhammadiyah solo, thursday May 20 , 2010 , 18.30 WIB. hope God receive all your kindness and forgive your sin, mba Gesang. goodbye Gesang

he was the creator of song 'air mengalir sampai jauh' i guess. he had done much for indonesia. he deserve to be called as a hero

This is seem sad year in Indonesia there are many famous people past away this year. I like Gesang a Maestro who created many song including the famous song Bengawan Solo, the song also famous outside Indonesia especially in japan. I hope he got place in heaven because I see he is a humble person.

May his soul rest in peace, his sins forgiven. May his songs continue to touch the world over. May Bengawan Solo, one of his popular songs in the local Javanese 'keroncong' style which has been translated into several languages continue to enrich the arts world. It's a sad news for Indonesia. It's a sad news for the well-wishers of Indonesia and a great loss to many.

Hi all, gesang is very inspirational person.. he's low profile one, and I respect him. his song bengawan solo is translated into several languages, and he was respected by Japanese by building gesang park. and let's not forget him.

I get it the information that Gesang had passed away on TV this morning. Since i was student at basic school (SD we call here in Indonesia) that Gesang is One of Maestro in Indonesia who created 'Bengawan Solo' song. I know this song and love to sing it. He had passed away at 93 years old. Hope us always appreciate him.
