Have your ever put up a blog of your own?

Right now my neck is killing me. I think I've been sitting in a wrong position for a few hours now. PRobably it's just me being frustrated at the nitty gritty details of putting up a blog. For starters, I can't decide what template to use. I must have switched back and forth more than 15 times already in just three hours. I'm putting up a blog in blogger.com. But I can't seem to like the layout. Wordpress is quite amazing but really lacks a lot of blogger's tools. Where's your blog at? Still obsessing... Any tips anyone?

I also have a blog at blogger.com but i too is not so good at this thing. I have started it almost a year now i guess, but it still looks bland. I seldom update it too as i found mylot better to spend my few precious time.

Mylot is the best if you want to have discussions with other people. But I guess having my own blog lets me ramble more. I do have plans to write articles that are more helpful to others. Computer stuff. But a lot are blogging about it so I think I might have a hard time keeping it original.

I have a blog in blogger/blogspot. It's about me trying to read 100 books in a year. ( http://allisonmarshall.blogspot.com/ ) I started out with one of the provided layout templates, a pink one, but then switched to a plainer template with a custom banner that I made in photoshop. I really like the way it turned out. I think the best route is to pick something fun, but readable, and then customize it a bit to better suit your needs. It's okay to change your mind, too. Most web-hosts are always changing their formats to try and find something better.

Most of the books that I've read so far have been fantasy. I've tried getting some variety on my blog, but I've failed. I'm always like, "Oooh! New fantasy book to read!". So then I've got like 40 or so fantasy books and like two science fiction, one thriller, one historical fiction... yeah.

Actually Wordpress is very amazing, if you have are able to have lots of control or plugins. However it need a host which you are able to get for free. You can visit http://winningarena.uphero.com/creating-your-first-wordpress-site/ where i have post instructions to get your first wordpress site up. if you like to get a free host, http://winningarena.uphero.com/building-you-own-online-business/ if you need any help I might be able to assist you.

are you really offering to help? I mean I can get really irritating sometimes cause I'm all too curious. But thanks for the helping hand! I will probably flood your inbox my friend. But if you're okay with that, then let me take advantage of you (oh, that might sound sooo weird)

I write for other blogs so it never occured to me how to design my own. Don't worry I won't plague you--not all the time anyway. Is it advisable to have the same blog in two different bloghosts? or I have to decide whether to start using wordpress or blogger on the get go?

It's already on. tinkerfeats.blogspot.com Right now however I'm just in the introduction phase so a lot is about what I'm currently working on. Will tell if I get the how to page going. Right now I'm working on how to upgrade your hardrive without losing your data. My father almost went mad when he saw that I was experimenting with his laptop. Thank god I was successful. Otherwise, I might have to find somewhere else to sleep.

Yes there are various templates in the customization options in the site's profile. What is interesting about Tumblr is that, like twitter, you are able to "Follow" other blogs so that on a dashboard separate from your profile page, you can see their new posts.

I have many, many blogs on various websites. One of them is a subscription-based website where writers divide the cost of subscribing with the site's owner based on readership. I maintain 3 separate blogs on Blogger. I also have a poetry blog on Triond. I used to have one on Planet Poet, but the site made me angry.

I have been planning to have my own blog but I just can't start one. Actually. I started with one a long time ago but I wasn't able to maintain it coz I just don't know how. So, may I say congratulations coz compared to me, you've gone a long way. Keep it up and I can see that a lot of mylotters have been giving you tips and I'm also learning from them. Hope I can start my blog soon.

I need to get back to working on my blog about Disney World (and planning my trip there for next May). I haven't been able to find a decent layout, really, and finals got in the way. So that's what I'm working on this summer. I also am planning on creating a politics blog at some point, but that won't be until I've got my Disney one up and running. I also want to start one about the books I read. That might take a while, though. :P I tend to forget about the blogs I make not long after starting them, so I need to get back to working on it. My best advice? Just try to stick with it. It's really something I need to work on. Blogger is the easiest, really. I used wordpress once, but I prefer blogger.

me too, i keep on changing my template, i have a lot of blogs in different topic, the newest is my pregnancy blog where i put all my experiences being pregnant there and everything thats very personal, i also added some pregnancy tips, do's and dont's. you can change your template even not those template default by blogger as i also dont like their template. you can follow this step just check this site, this is not a referral site. http://bloggersinsite.blogspot.com/2010/04/how-to-change-blog-templates.html First thing you do is to search for free blog templates in search engine where you can see a lot of option, then choose which one you like and save it.

yes,I have my own blog in several sights, I also have some article contents written in other sites. Starting a blog is quite tough and sometimes confusing, specially in handling new sites to publish with. In needs a lot of time and efforts to do the things.Just keep on going and going...then you will just find your self one day an experience blogger.

I have blogs on both Blogger and Wordpress. I prefer Blogger actually, since I am more used to them. But they do not have very many templates to choose from I guess, so that is the down side. A lot of people really love Wordpress as well though, so I think it is mostly a matter of taste!
