What things in your mind when you travel? What makes you excited about it?

I'm a worrier. So I tend to worry about all the little things. Did I bring the sunscreen? Did I bring my toothbrush? Did I bring the headache medicine? Did I bring enough underwear? Where will we stay tonight? Where will we eat? Will we make it here on time? Agh!!! It makes traveling not as much fun when I'm always worrying. Luckily once things get going and I find myself out having fun, I stop worrying and even stop thinking. As you mention it, I do think about food a lot too. I like to try new foods so traveling gives me the opportunity to eat out a lot! I'm traveling next weekend for my birthday. And I think the thing that has me most excited about it is just going somewhere new and different! Plus my love is taking me so it'll be fun and hopefully relaxing... if I can stop worrying about the sunscreen that is ;p

When I travel, I like to think about getting to my destination. Thinking about people i will see and things I will do motivates me. I like to take a lot of pictures when i travel.Travel memories are ones to cherish.

I seldom travel. I can only travel my eyes to lifestyle network channel and food network. they have this kind of program that they got to travel to different parts of the world to taste different kind of foods. I only can visit some places when the company have an outing. I can only travel by watching Balikbayan a show in QTV channel 11, I hardly travel, I am a loser.

you are absolutely right. Food is the major one without which we cannot live. So I do worry about the food habits of the people where I'm to visit. I also love to taste the local special dishes. The other one would be the weather of the place. I would be very happy if the place was a cooler one. I would really enjoy the weather.I would not even wear a jacket..Then comes my favourite activity - shopping...I would love to shop more at the place. I would buy things that are available at that place alone.

Most of my trips in the past decade have been about visiting family and friends and less about the place, culture, food...etc. I've been everywhere I'm going this summer (Colorado, Utah, Nevada, California, Arizona, Texas, Missouri, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and I think I missed a couple of places...), so it's all about the reasons I'm going...a family reunion, a family birthday party, a family wedding, two more birthday parties...taking my grand nieces on their first trip with their great grandmother.

We often travel during summer season as long as my parents aren't busy and when we are done with our final exams in school. As long as we have the time. I love traveling a lot and most of the time I'm always been excited on how beautiful the place in our destination. well, I'm a nature lover and I do appreciate almost everything nice that I see. Same as you I'm also happy and excited to try new thing like the delicacies and specialties in the place that I'm going, I call it the food trip. It's been so nice to know something new to a place and I do try knowing some words of the dialect in that place like how will you say good morning in your dialect. and finally, It's been a good thing to remember things with pictures being taken on every site that we went to. It's something that usually comes in to my mind to do in traveling.

Oh FOOD! Yes, that’s first on my mind too LOL…wherever I travel, I just have to try the local cuisine. My hubby’s not so adventurous but my son is always on my side. Travel is always exciting but with things becoming more and more expensive, we’re travelling less and less as we don’t want to compromise on the places we stay. October is our favourite month for travelling and even this year, I’ve planned a week long visit to the hilly regions…last time we went there, I missed out on quite a few places specializing in some more local food so this time, I’m determined to try those out though hubby’s equally sure that we’d all suffer from stomach upset.

I love traveling though it's been almost a year since I went abroad. I love soaking up new cultures, seeing the locals and what they do for leisure. I love watching the sun set and it amazes me how it is actually different in different places. I like to check out the sights, though I prefer to go off the beaten track and see things other tourists might not. I even get excited about getting on the plane, train, rickshaw or whatever my method of transport is. I love to travel and enjoy the planning of the itinerary too. The photos are fun too and I was lucky to capture some memorable shots while traveling- one of which ended up being used for a book cover!

What makes me really excited to travel is the place that I'm going to visit. I'm excited to see if it's beautiful and if there's anything interesting or unique in that place. I don't travel alone so the thought also of traveling with my very close friends and family excites me. I'm also excited of the activities that we will have once we get to the place like swimming, camping, monkey trail, mountain climbing, etc.

Hi Miss Cloud! First, like what you have said, about the foods, I want to taste all the foods from every place that I visit. I'm excited for new weather and natures. I dont travel that often.. Maybe once or twice a month but for important reasons. When I travel, I see to it that I brought every important thing with me, and I bring a camera with me, but also make sure that no there is no excess baggage because I like to travel light. Whenever I travel to a place for the first time or travel there rarely, I get so excited. Im excited to see what the place really looks like or excited to see the improvements of a place.

when i travel i am so exited to arrive to meet new faces and cultures but while on the bus or ship i am ejoying myself by looking the scenery around...

Not much... but when I travel especially to our province, I'm so excited to see my relatives there...

When we travel, we are usually going to something at the end of it - a play at the theatre or some kind of event, so I am usually excited about that. Last year, I went to London a few times to see plays and musicals. We also went to the World Gymnastics Championships in London last year and the European Gymnastics Championships in Birmingham this year. I do love taking photos wherever we go too, but don't do much shopping.

For me it's returning back to somewhere I've spent many years, it's like when you buy a house you think of all the things you can do and you have that buzz feeling. When I go away, I think about what I did as a child on holiday and meet people I've become to know over these years. It's really special for me and my children are experiencing it too. I generally think going away from the day to day life plays a major role in it, as I don't do anything the same and I can do whatever I want within the budget set.

hey nice I like also the food of the new places but also the way of the people thing and the new landscapes. there is one other small detail i love to see is the position of the sun/moon in the sky is something interesting and magical sometimes. most of the people dont notice because they might be use to that but well to mee is pretty interesting i think that how the sun shine in the sky affects a bit the way of thinking and behavior of the people

I seldom travel cloud,but if given a chance I'm excited to eat different kind of food in other places aside from that maybe know more about their costume nothing more.Happy travel.

hello there, i dont really travel much for money purposes but when i do i mainly just cant wait to relax. life these days just gets soooo darn stressfull. i think when i do travel i start getting really excited about a month before hand and i start getting little bursts of excitement i can feel from my heart to my finger tips that just makes me jump with joy. i always look forward to the food to just like you , food is always part of the relaxation part (:

hi cloud! i travel once or twice a year...depending on the available schedule and of course, the budget :) like you, i like trying out new cuisines, especially the "signature dish" in that particular place. i also look forward to meeting people, knowing their culture and going to tourist spots. i prefer booking tours so i can maximize the time and places that i can see. another thing is of course, shopping! i like buying souvenirs like shirts and magnets and key chains to take home for my family and friends. of course, i make sure to keep one memorabilia for me. photos and cameras are a must in every travel...so make sure you have more than enough memory in those digicams! hope to see you somewhere in the world:)
