Hi everyone just wanna share this,
OMG I'm already a grandmother and I'm only 30 yrs. old. How? well my brother's daughter Laila (24) gave birth to he's son 3 yrs. ago. For the record I became a granny when I was 27 yrs. old. Did I look like one? Oh no I'm getting older. Did you have the same situation too?

Yes, mspitot those kids are still our grandchildren eventhough they are not came from our immediate family. I also had grandchildren from my cousins and second cousins long way before I had grandchildren from my niece. I guess Philippines hold the record for having a many younger granny unless there is a clear record shows.

sorry to confuse you oldchem1 but here in the philippines, we have very strong family and relative tie so we value or family and relatives much. even though they are not my child's chilren, people still consider me as a grandmaother of them i still have responsibilities as a relative to those children.

Ha ha ha..... I know that feeling!.
The first time I call auntie at age 5 by one of my cousin son, we come from very big family so many cousin with different age I had.
I call granny at age 10, its totally uncomfortable to call granny at that age. I get use to it now.

You became granny at the age of 10? Wow that's too young. I also came from a big family, we are 9 siblings and I'm the youngest.

Hi, laniekins. So you are calling your niece your grandchild? If this is your son's daughter, then shouldn't she be your niece instead of your granddaughter? I am 31 years old, and I don't think that I could imagine myself being a grandmother at this age. I have a 1st cousin that would complain to me about being too young to be a grandmother. I think that she was a grandmother in her late 30s. Maybe 37 or 38. Congratulations either way though.

Hi cream97, in the Philippines if your niece's or nephew's had child/children already then you can call them grandson or granddaughter, I don't know if this apply to other countries. Those kids are part of my immediate family so I can call them my grandchildren.

Haha, you are just like me. Actually I am not that fond of children but if I love a particular child, I take good care of it. I don't like spoiled brat and obnoxious one. I can be a disciplinarian.

I'm about to believe you when you say that I am beautiful and sexy grandma but you put "just kidding" in the end. Oh well, I don't know if I met this boy, he's 3 yrs. old now, I don't know what he will call me.

That's not impossible. If a girl got pregnant at an early age, let's say 15 years old when she gave birth, for example, and she had a daughter and that daughter got pregnant at 14, then she's a granny at 30. Is my math correct??

Yes, your math is correct. I thank god that I didn't get pregnant at an early age.

We're actually on the same boat. I'm also a grandparent at 30. My niece, the daughter of my cousin, gave birth just last year. Well, my cousin and I have an almost 10-year age gap, and his daughter gave birth at 18 (I think). She also has a baby boy. Wow, and to think my 10-month-old daughter now has a nephew. Amazing, isn't it?

I am still not at that situation thankfully. I mean I am an aunt to a huge clutter of neice and nephews. But thankfully I am one of the oldest amognst the cousins. My niece and nephews - the oldest of them are still in their early years of college. I am 33 already and am good for the next few years before becoming a grandmother. So, I am hopeful that I will not be a granny by say 36. I already feel old enough... So I think, not having some grandchild someplace somewhere is good for my self image.

How does it feel to be a granny? Lol. You're too young to look like a granny though. I bet no one would suspect You're one. :)

It feels old though I am at my 30's but just like the same. I treat my grandson just like a nephew. I will take care of him if he's mother needs my help.

Thanks a lot! When I was on my 20's most of the people say I look teenager cause I have a baby face plus my body is petite. Now I look a little older cause of my current situation ( I have a problem with my stomach). I guess if this situation didn't occur I will still look younger). My niece looks mature than me.

I am a grandmother. I got it because my niece (my brother's daughter) have already a child. You can have a grandchildren too if your cousin is a granny too.

Everyone get's old. You have absolutely nothing to worry about :) One of my best friends became an aunt at the age of 16. I, on the other hand, have cousins who are old enough to be my children. I'm 28, and they're as young as about 6 or 7. So when I have kids, they'll have nieces and nephews before they reach fourth or fifth grade! At the rate I'm going, it seems that my situation is what will put my cousins in your situation. We'll all be okay.

It feels good actually, I enjoyed it except taking care of kids too long. I take care almost all my nieces and nephews that is why my height remains at 5", I guess I didn't grew up because of them.
