ive spent the better part of my life attempting to lose weight or maintain it as most. recently ill.. my weight has dropped far below where im happy with it, and ive even got the doc on my case to gain a bit. im lookin to put on 20-25 pounds to get a back my healthy physique.
this woman...
http://jobs.aol.com/articles/2010/05/19/hooters-server-put-on-weight-probation/
is about my height.. weighs about 5 pounds more than i do (which i will repeat, the docs arent happy with) and is being threatoned in losing her job because shes too.. fat ?? o.O theres a pic of her posted there on the article.. and she is by NO means in need of losing any weight at all. what is her boss thinking??
personally.. id tell my employer to shove it and use the month given to hunt down another job.
would you quit? or would you cause yerself to be unhealthy on the standards of another to keep yer job?

That's one case where I would sue. An employer can't legally tell an employee that they have to risk their health in order to work for them. She's a server...she needs strength to carry the platters of food.
I've been to Hooters and have had servers who really were slightly over weight. Not grossly so but they certainly could use some muscle toning. I don't believe it is a company wide issue she is dealing with but rather her specific location.

I'd prioritize my health over some job. I'd rather work on a night shift on a regular basis under a company that allows you to be healthy than work on a day job under a company with a lot of issues concerning their employees' weight.

Are you a model? You've already lose too much pounds. My body can only handle 10 pounds per month and if I excede that my body will have low immunity against sickness and worse.. I almost colapse.
You better try to find another job that doesn't need weight limits.
