Are 'near death ' experiences real ?

There have been several scientific studies have suggested that the mind – or ‘soul’ - lives on after the body has died and the brain ceased to function.
It is said that about one in four people who have a near-death experience also have experiences like watching doctors try and resuscitate their bodies.
These are usually called ‘out-of-body experiences’, and people who survive them often talk about seeing a bright light, traveling down a tunnel, seeing their dead body from above, and meeting deceased relatives.
Have any of you experienced any such thing?
I thought that I did once about 18 years ago, but I can't be sure as to what was real and what was in my imagination.
I had a miscarriage and was haemorrhaging badly, I was rushed down the corridor with my blood pressure dropping drastically and I THOUGHT that I had the feeling of looking down at myself, but was it just in my mind??

Hi oldchem1, many years ago I ended up in the hospital because I will very sick and I am not sure! It could of been just a wonderful and warm dream. I know that I look down and I saw me laying in the bed and I heard a voice telling that this was not the end that I had to go back and finish was I started (what ever that maybe) This is the first time that I have ever talked about it a little, because I don't want my family or friends think that I am crazy.
Have a wonderful day
