I have lost mine when I was in my college. I was travelling in bus and only after getting down, I found that I had missed my purse. I had my college identity card in that.. I was much worried because of that more than the cash in the purse.. I'm more careful with my valuables after this incident. Have you ever lost your purse or wallet? What was your feeling for that?

Hi Dreamhome
Yes I have lost my purse a couple of times in my lifetime
On one occasion a kind person returned it to me there wasn't any money in it thank goodness ,I am wondering if it would have been returned if I had money or credit cards probably not but then again their are some honest people in the world
One other time I had my credit card stolen out of my purse when I was at work and the person who did it was obviously a coworker although we never got to the bottom of who stole it we all had a pretty good idea who it was but we couldn't prove it
Anyway he charged a couple hundred dollars worth of stuff and gas but I got it all back from the bank once I proved that I didn't make the charges they tried to charge more than that but the card was denied

Loosing a credit card is a very worst one. It is always good to inform the bank about the theft of your credit card as soon as you find it to be missing. This can help the bank officials to block the card activities. You will not be put into further trouble. I have 2 credit cards. Out of which, one of my banks is very good in customer service. Once I swiped my card 4 times in an hour at 4 different shops. As soon as I swiped the card for the third time, I recieved a call from their customer service department to check if it was me who swiped the card. They wanted to know if I had missed the card and someone is using my card all at once. I was impressed by this..

Yes mine was stolen at school. I reported it missing and got a new driers license.
About 3 years later the police came to my door, my license had been used by another who had been in an accident. Good think I reporated mine stolen i saved me a big hassel.

yes, good that you had reported the license to be missing. Otherwise you would have been put up in unwanted troubles.
The same thing was advised by my Professor when I lost my identity card too. He told that if the card gets into the hand of anyone who is not good, it can be misused. If the person gets a chance to steal something or even kill someone, and if he drops my card at the crime point, then I would be the one who would be caught by the police first. We can never tell what could happen..Not all people are good. I'm happy to read a similar incident in your case..and I'm more happy that you did not land into trouble.

I had lost my purse when I was studying in college. I was a part-time student that time.I was working with a newly established computer shop. It was August 10, 2005 when it happened. While I was busy assisting the costumers on the computer shop, someone was asking something on me outside the shop. My boss also have merchandise outside and since my boss was not there, I also deal with his customers. I was so busy that I forgot my purse and mobile phone in my bag. It was too late when I remember that I had my purse and cellphone inside my bag. One customer snatched my things while I was not looking. I was so depressed. When I got home, I told what happened to my mom. She did not scold me. She said, we must still be thankful that I was not hurt by the snatcher. We can earn money to buy a purse and a cellphone. Those things are not so important compare to my life.I learned my lesson on what happened. That is "never trust a stranger and always be careful."

you are absolutely right..We should never trust a stranger and it is better to be very careful with them. This is very important especially when you are working in s ahop..
By the way, I was amazed to see your memory power. You remember the date exactly - even after 5 years..amazing..

OMG..9000 rupees is a bigger amount..That too you have saved this money for 2 months. And above that the photo of your girl friend is more precious too.. I could understand how upset you would have been when you found that your wallet was lost. Sometimes we miss them..sometimes they are pickpocketted and we loose them.. I really hate these pickpocketting people..All our hard earned and hard saved money are lost in just few minutes..They eat our hardworks..
And did you buy the Reebok shoes at anytime after that?
