"the site could keep younger children off to facebook, where they are more likely to find inappropriate content and are less protected from potentially harmful interactions with strangers and bullies"- Mandeep Singh Dhillon
do you allow your children or do you create account for your children such as facebook? i don't think this "togetherville" is safe, nothing is safe from a genius hacker. okay, let's say yes it has more security features than other social networks, would you still allow your kids to join? are there any benefits? isit necessary?

I actually just let my seven-year-old daughter start a facebook account, but I also set it up such that I know the password to it and I never let her access facebook when I am not in the room with her. I figure if she is going to be online anyway, I should show her that it is something that the two of us can do together. Heck, even with the online games for children like Webkinz, etc, I don't think that everything that goes on with these sites is child friendly.
