Yes, I have tried mturk before. MTurk has been around for quite a while since 2005. The big and famous reputation of Amazon is a guarantee that it is a legitimate site that pays. However, the pay rate is very low and they don't accept payment via paypal or other online payment systems. You can only withdraw your earnings into your bank account if you live in the US or India. Other people outside those countries (like you and me) can only turn their earnings into gift certificates to buy things like books or DVDs in Amazon and the shipping charges are ridiculous. Those are the reasons why I quit working at mturk even though I had a great experience working there.
The MTurk work marketplace system is known as crowd sourcing which I think is just the way for employers to get things done at a very low cost--even lower than the outsourcing system.
There is a similar site like mturk that pays via paypal called CloudCrowd. It's on facebook. The interface is not as good as mturk and the tasks are only a few but they pay instantly via paypal--no minimum payout. As soon as your tasks are approved you get your payment. If you are interested please join under me. I'll send you a link via pm.

I have completed some tasks there. I earned a bit of money, but not a full-time wage. It is a nice idea for those looking to earn just a bit of extra spending cash. Overall, I was pleased with my experience in completing tasks for them.

Hi,
I actually work in mturk doing a lot of diferent tasks (named HITs), and I have never been dissapointed about payment. It is a serious site to earn some money in Internet. I always transfer my payment as an amazon gift certificate card, what is great for me because I buy a lot of stuff in amazon. I don't know if this is the only option for all countries, but if you want to earn some extra money in an easy and trusted way mturk is the site!!

Yes I have. You do jobs for people. Things like editing, test website to see if they work. Or going to a website to view, and other things also. Some have said that they have made over 200.00. I don't know if that is over a period of weeks, or months. The highest I made was about 14.00. Your work has to be approved before you get paid. Jobs pay 1cent and up.

yes i already tried it and they really pay. But here in the Philippines I think you can only use your earnings to purchase something in Amazon.
