What are some of your favorite canceled TV shows?

I've been thinking recently about how some of my favorite TV shows and IMO some of the best shows have been canceled. Joss Whedon's Dollhouse which started on FOX last year was a brilliant show that took a few episodes to get off running. By the second season it was brilliant episode after brilliant episode. However, since the show was geared towards a younger audience and FOX put it at 9pm on Fridays when that audience wouldn't be at home, it didn't rake in the viewer numbers FOX wanted. Veronica Mars that aired on UPN and the CW ended on a semicliff hanger and was such a smart, witty show. It was critically acclaimed but never got amazing viewer ratings. They were decent, but not amazing. It was canceled after 3 seasons. Another show which didn't even get a full first season is yet another Joss Whedon show, Firefly. It was a science fiction show that could only be described as a space western. Again Fox messed with this show doing silly things such as airing episodes out of order. I was just wondering what are some other awesome shows that were ended way before they should have concluded due to cancellation that Mylot users might be into.

There was a particular show that I was really following which unfortunately got canceled mid-season and the sad part is, the story was not even finished. This show was Life as we know it, an American television drama that aired on the ABC network during the 2004-2005 season which starred Missy Peregrym and Sean Faris. It has only 13 episodes and the last one was a cliffhanger. Ugh! I hated it! Why did they cancel that show??

Oh I completely forgot about that show! Wasn't Kelly Osbourne in it?

Yes, Kelly Osbourne was on that. It actually had a good story for a show set on a high school. It is too bad that not a lot of Americans tuned in which in turn canceled the show.

Ah yes! True Calling was canceled I think like 6 episodes into Season 2. I remember it sucked because the show was better than it had ever been and it ended on a cliffhanger. They should have at least let them finish out the season so that the fans weren't left hanging, but that's FOX for you. They always cancel anything good. I hate them for that.

You know speaking of cancelled shows, Moonlight was a great show but was cancelled. My daughter loved Angel but the show got cancelled after the season 5 season finale but it was a cliff hanger and so was Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She absolutely loved dollhouse but that was cancelled. There used to be alot of great shows on but now they're cancelled and most of them on cliff hangers to make the viewers crankier.

What was Moonlight about? I've never heard of it. And Buffy actually did end completely (5 seasons on the WB and 2 on the UPN). I think it's the only Joss Whedon show that wasn't canceled sadly.

I really liked the show Medical Investigation. I'm a big doctor show buff for some reason and I loved the characters. Unfortunately, they canceled it after one season and I was really upset because it was one of my favorite shows at the time. Also, I LOVE Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction. They used to air reruns and stuff so I could see all the ones I had missed, but now they've even gone and taken those off the air, and I really miss them. I keep thinking about getting DVD's of it or something, but they're so darn expensive!

One of my favorite tv shows that was just canceled would have to be Numb3rs. I wasn't into this show before but when I watched a few more episodes, I started to like it... really like it. I love these type of shows with FBI agents, etc. and I guess, it's also because of my love for Math. Unfortunately, season 6 was their last season since Rob Morrow signed up for another show. I'm not sure which one though.
