When we got our new refrigerator it was suggested in the book to wax it with car wax so the finger prints would come off better...are you kidding, if my car gets waxed it is through the drive through car wash & wax!

I have heard of waxing your appliances, and if you have a glass shower door, wax that and wax the shower stall as well. My husband sells a product called dri wash n gard and it is better than wax. I wonder if I can get him to do all of the above?

Good luck to you.
I do think it works well, but does wear off.
Maybe i should try that for my daughter-in-law, because she has the sliding glass doors on her shower.
I have tile and a curtain, but i bet it would work on my tile. I'll have to try it tomorrow.
Thank you

I love that stuff. It's good for all kinds of things. I use it on the plastic lawn furniture, the shower enclosure walls, and lots of other painted or plastic objects. Since it's waterproof, it helps keep the lawn furniture from the elements, and makes them easier to rinse off if they get dirty. Sure it needs to be replaced now and then, but it still keeps things cleaner than without. I use it sometimes on the tile in the kitchen and bath (not the floor, but the wall tiles.) Never thought about the stove, will definitely have to try that one!

Hi sallyj, before reading this discussion, I apply the car wax to polish my auto after the thoroughly wash and wipe. I totally don't have any knowledge that car wax could use for stove and household appliances cleaning at all.
It's really amazing when I come across such content! What's a good idea! I would like to try to use it to see how efficient it could work. If so I would like to get all my appliances to be cleaned and to make them to look decent as well
Happy posting

This is the first time that I have heard of using car wax for anything other than on the car. I'm definitely going to have to give it a try on the stove though because it is almost inevitable that I will spill something on the stove that is difficult if not nearly impossible to clean up after I spill. It really is a shame too with my stove because the thing was brand new a year ago, but I can't get the cook top to look like it is still new.

Hi sallyj, I never of that and I will have to give it a try but I only have one problem I don't have a stove because I live in a one room apt and I only have a two burner hotplate. Will it work on things like that?
Take care
