Did you ever remember talking in a group of people, saying that you are proud of yourself? Is it proper to be proud of yourself? I sometimes find myself talking about my achievements in such a tone that I am proud of myself more than anyone else. Sometime, I saw my classmate raising an eyebrow when I am telling the group that I was chosen to compete for Managerial Accounting (during my college days), I guess maybe she found me arrogant. So I came to ask a question, am I conceited when I am proud of myself?

Being conceited and being proud are two different things. Maybe you expressed yourself in a way that makes you look arrogant that's why they think you're that. Maybe next time you should change the way you talk about your achievements. Tone it down a bit to look like you're still being humble at the same time proud. :)

hi rowena, sometimes i feel like that.. but i think that is not a good trait to portray it.. i want to eliminate that attitude because it makes me bad for other person hearing from me.. some people don't seem to understand unless they are part of your family that is another case.. in your case your proud of your self... all of us are proud.. maybe she find it a little annoying... hehehe.. you should confront that kind of person.
