Genome in Bottle-Can man reach to nearby position of God?

Using a made from scratch genome ,scientists have breathed anew kind of life into a bacterium,the feat published may,twenty one in Science, holds great promise for creating designer organisms that might to things like produce vaccines,synthesize bio fuels,purify water or eat spilled oil.This is the beginning of making of life by human being..will man get success in producing his prototype in future? will he reach to nearby position of creator?

I personally don't believe in creator i believe in miracle of evolution. I'd even believe in aliens leaving a seed on earth than in creator. And this news is amazing. I know it's just a small simple life but in a few years who knows what will happen. I really don't understand what they mean by new kind of life. Is it like they would create some form that never lived before or did they just recreate a cell. I'd like to read that news from Science i'm from Europe and i don't know where to find it.
