So my apartment is starting to smell more like me and less like the empty apartment! However, there is one catch. When I open the linen closet in the bathroom I distinctly smell cigarette smoke. What can I do to get rid of it? I totally forget about it until I open the door to get a towel! Any ideas, I thought about baking soda do you think that would help get rid of the stench?

I can try that, even though I have difficulty breathing some of that kind of stuff.

yes thats a good idea to put a box of it in there. but also, wash it down with vinegar water, about 3 parts vinegar. i know you are thinking it will smell like vinegar but that wont last for long only a few minutes. but then which is best, vinegar or smoke smell? dont know why so many people are against the vinegar smell and cleaning with it. my grandmother always used it to clean with and her house never stank and never smelled like vinegar over a few minutes after.
