Eating - needs a hungry tummy, delicious food and some style... but Cooking-as an art,no a science needs lot more.. A great writer once said "The greatest animal in creation, the animal who cooks." It was my hobby to find the smallest mistake in my Moms cooking when I "just used to eat" But when I Cooked for the first time,I regretted my mistake..I intended to make was flat wheat bread-"chapati".. took wheat flour added water -oh excess water..I managed to drain it.. salt I added was too much.. Now I made balls from the dough ,now the pin roll work..terrible..I want to say that I actually made all the continents...!! Now I cooked it on the pan--Some were half cooked..some became carbon breads.. Oh! at last I made it..Now I enjoyed the real taste of food-but it was actually inedible.. Mom peeped in middle of my cooking..I didn't give her even one(you know why..) I served it myself (hid the over cooked),and ate it deliciously (pretended) I think you enjoyed my experience.. FYKI:I did it at the age of 10 I learned a lot...and now (after 14 yrs) to my opinion I cook better... How about you..? I don't want you to descriptive ..just what you made..when was it.& how was it... Happy myLotting..... Have a nice day/night..... Oh forgot...[b]"Enjoy your meal......"[b]

Hi sagar, My mom taught me to prepare tea for the first time, at the age of 12. I made it with lot of milk...Hahahha...Then I started making rotis...but my mother kneaded the dough. I made all kinds of maps you generally find in the atlas. My father used to have all the rotis prepared by me ..I was the dearest ...then gradually started learning subjis and saags....its a good experience, you learn so many things when u cook. u learn patience, love, fulfilment etc.

I remember the first time I tried to cook. I love eat food from a lot of different countries and on my birthday I decided to cook some foreign food for my friends. The recipe was not in my local language or in English, and there were some words that I didn't really understand, but I decided to follow the parts of the recipe that I could understand and skip the rest. Bad idea! The result was awful, and the dish that I cooked was so spicy that no one could eat it. I like spicy dishes, but I couldn't eat my own dish. I had buy pizza for my friends, and my dish ended in the trash bin.

I enjoy cooking and spend a great deal of time in the kitchen doing just this. I can remember my first cooking experience. It was 7th grade home economics class in school. What a disaster. We were making chocolate chip cookies. I can still smell them burning. I didn't realize the temperature could be too high. I often reflect on this memory whenever I am baking cookies.

HI sagar: Being honest I'm not good in the kitchen but I enjoy to eat a lot. I can only prepare a hot coffe and a sandweech and egs, don't forget. Lol. XD. My mom is just excellent when she cooks. I enjoy everything she prepares but I think i won't cook until the moment I feel the need to do it. Thanks for sharing with us your experience. Have a nice day. ALVARO

Yes I know cooking. I tried first time when I came out of my house to pursue B.Tech. First I tried to make "Roti", Roti shape was in the shape of different countries sometimes India, Russia, Australia, US. :-) :-) Then I tried Dal. In dal water was seperate in dal. But u know, when we start eating them, I was feeling happy and food also tasty.

First time i tried to cook when I was in jabalpur for Master's corse and it was rice. You can guess that rice is very easy to cook and any one can cook it. I was successfull doing so. After that I tried to make chapaties and could manage without good shape. We used to call map of Australia as most of the Bread shape resulted to the Australia map shape. Now a days I can cook many things and yes people love that unfortunately.

I cooked stuff here and there when I was in middle school and high school just to try to have something to eat when it wasn't time for big meals. However I didn't REALLY get into cooking myself and trying new things until I moved to college. That was when I really started to experiment with different kinds of foods and really learned to cook.
