You know when you have those momments where you think you see something and for a split second have the pee scared out of you...then you realize it's not the scary, horrible thing you thougt it was? For example, say you're out hiking, and see something in the distance- for a split second your heart races: "omg! It's a WOLF!" And then you get closer and realize you were mistaken: "Oh, it's just a rock." w

That experience with your cat is just too cute. Thank you for making me smile. It seems my cats and I have those moments at times too. I'm deathly afraid of spiders and if I feel something on my neck like a loose hair, or one of my cat's tails and I don't know what it is, I jump, scream and twitch like I'm have an epileptic seizure. Then when I realize what it's not, I laugh at myself at least for the next couple of hours.

I can picture that oh so perfectly! Reminds me of the time my siamese kitty was strolling through the house and jumped straight up in the air when he walked by my husband's black shoes. I think he thought it was our black kitty getting ready to pounce on him. My moments come when I think I see a spider... guess I should be happy what I really saw was just a piece of lint or something!

Sometimes the mirrors around the house make me do just that. It's more a shock than a fear. And it's usually just a split second before you end up smiling, grinning or just laugh it out at yourself.

That happened to me tonight actually... giving my little man a bath and had the bathroom door wide open.... just out of the corner of my eye I see a shadow going down the hallway... I was in the house alone with my little man at the time... anyway when I went to investigate (thinking someone was in here) it turned out to be the cat lol... which was a relief I have to say cos my heart was beating some!!!

This happened to me just the other day only it was a pile of laundry on the bed and I thought it was an intruder in my room. I literally thought I was going to have a heart attack. I guess that is what I get for procrastinating with putting the laundry away. Lesson learned!

Yes i have. It was in a training camp. I've mistaken a coat for a tall man. My colleage hung his coat to a branch while we were getting some twigs for the fireplace. It was getting dark then so the coat formed an unusual shape at my right peripheral. Looked like a tall man facing me. It gave me goose bumps. Lol.

That happens to me mostly around the house. I'll catch something out of the corner of my eye and it will scare the living crap out of me until I almost immediately realize what it actually is. I just kind of have to laugh at myself in those situations honestly.
