Hi HeriCalifornia, There were a lot of excellent football player out there and it is hard to pick one as our favorite because they have their own specialty. As a Liverpool fan, I admire Steven Gerrard too. He is the core of the team for a couple of years. He is all round player. He can score, can dictate the game and also can defend. He safe Liverpool a lot of time and without him, Liverpool seem to be just a normal team. His willingness to commit himself make the fans love him dearly. A few other Liverpool players also have a good performance like Jimie Carregar, Fernando Torres and Dirk Kuyt. From the other teams, I like Lionel Messi too. He is very skillful and never being selfish like a few other players.
