Late night sleep during weekend become my habit

Would it be okay to go to bed around 5:00 A.M. in the morning during weekend to you? For me, I don't have a problem with it, as long as next day morning I have to get up early to go to work. So, according to my logic, it is perfectly fine. Quite in the contrary, my mom wasn't okay with it. She would get up really early in the morning. So, when I got up around 12:30 P.M. afternoon time, she kept on shaking her head, and reason with me all the bad effects of late night sleep. So, is late night sleep become your habit during the weekend too?

honestly, thats not my habit and i could say that is just a waste if you sleep at time like that, morefor if you not doing something important that is really a waste. because we know would give some bad effect for our body. fresh air in the morning really good for our body, and we cant get that if we sleep in morning. because there must be a defferent between air inside room with outside room. and when you sleep not at night but in the morning there would be more noise, so it better if you have more sleep at night.

for me, that's not good if you sleep late at night. In addition to all of our bodies are sick, we are also so hard to wake up. I even cut my sleep schedule, during weekends or normal days. If we go to bed early, we are more focused and enthusiastic in doing all things.

I don't think so because as far as you are conscious about what you have to do in the weekend then you will be back to normal again, I happen to sleep at six in the morning to then wake up at nine and then do not get sleep at all till the next morning but it happens and if you can have a control on it then its wonderful.

No no…that late is never OK with me. I stay groggy and in bad mood for the rest of the day if I wake up that late. During weekdays I have to get up real early like 5am for my son’s school so on weekends I wake up around 7/8 am which is fine. On weekend nights I usually go to bed around midnight or 1 am as I love catching up the different TV channels which I cant do on weekdays.

It depends on your body clock. Some people are just night owls or early birds. Fortunately, I am neither. My body has not problem adjusting as long as I still get the requisite 8 hours of sleep. I have read that there are effects on your health if you sleep less than what your body requires. I have not read any literature about time of sleeping. I think if your body can tolerate it, and as long as you still get 8 hours of sleep, then its fine. Personally though, I am a creature of habit. If I vary my sleeping time, I will still wake up at the same time the following day which leaves me too tired to do much.

That is true for me as well. I sleep around 2-3 am in the morning and wake up next morning around 11 am. becasue of this I already consume half day by the time I am ready to start my day. I sleep on time during weekdays otehrwise will be late in the office and that will not help me. Sleeping late is ok for once but should not be an ongoing thing. I am trying to get out of it, let's see how long it takes for that.

It is up to you! My husband works during the week, but at the weekend, sometimes he stays up till 3am, 4am, 5am... then gets up the next day at 10am, 11am, midday... and that's fine! For me, I get up between 6:30am and 7:30am every day, I don't work but I am a housewife and mother. I go to bed between 10:30pm and midnight. I am a morning person though.

Honestly, now that I don't have classes anymore, it's not abnormal for me to go to bed around 5am. It actually quite annoys me when people are acting as though you're lazy if you're sleeping in when they've probably gone to bed 5 hours earlier than you did and you end up actually sleeping less than they did.
