How about writing essay about a tie?

When I was in high school our English teacher used to give us various silly topic to write essay on. One day we were told to write about a tie or a ring. We first thought it was going to be easy. But we were wrong.
What points would you include in your essay if you were asked to write about a tie?

It depends on the nature of the task of writing a tie. If there was to be some humor incorporated a person could talk about how a tie can choke someone or how one can tie it wrong if one doesn't know what one is doing. Also a tie can be any color and go on any color of shirt. One could bring forth the opinions of a tie whether one likes to wear a tie or not or if one sees one's friends wearing a tie. There are a myriad of possibilities.
