They say sunlight is a good source of Vitamin D provided that you'll bring out your baby early in the morning when the sun is not yet really hot. Here in our place, it is best to expose the baby to sunlight from 6AM to 7AM. The light and warmth of the sun during the given time is just right for the baby. Just don't let them stare at the sun so that even without sun glasses, the baby's eyes will just be fine.

6am to 7am maybe it is good time in your country, but on this time in England mostly are clouds. and I thin sunglasses are very important maybe no on this time but are.

My daughter had her first pair of sunglasses at around 4 months old - they were the sort which were attached to a headband so she couldnt pull them off though she loved them and so wanted them on. She is now two and has her 'big girl' sunglasses 'just like mummy' which she always takes out on sunny days.
I think it is important to protect babies and childrens eyes as well as their skin and many people do forget this aspect of the sun. I introduced sunglasses to my daughter early (as well as hats) and so it has become a way of life with her.

A baby should be kept out of direct sunlight. A young baby has very sensitive skin. The sun could easily burn a fair skin. Therefore prams and buggies have sun shades. Then the baby can stay in the shade. I think using sunglasses on a toddler is a good idea if he or she will keep them on. It is very sunny and warm in my locality at the moment. I have a sun shade on the tandem buggy I put my baby daughter and disabled toddler son in.

Yes baby have very sensitive skin. Yesterday I was read on newspaper some 4 month baby was burn on the beach in England. The baby had 25 % burn of his body, so we should really take care about our baby. But how say to baby she must wear her sunglasses ?

When my granddaughter was little I put sunglasses on her to take her out in the afternoon sun, now that she is 2 she grabs her sunglasses before going out the door. My grandson is 3 month old and I'm starting the same thing with him so hopefully he will grow accustomed to it to and grab his glasses when he goes out the door when he's 2. I too agree that sunglasses need to be worn as well as sunscreen and shade. These children are way to precious!

My daughter turned 1 last month and she loves being outside. I know too much sun isen't good for her so I make sure she always has a least a shirt on. Its been too hot for her to wear shorts. She always has a hat on and sunscreen. She had sunglasses but she never liked wearing them because she couldn't see out of them that well.

Exactly baby like be outside but they don't like wear sunglasses.
Sunglasses are as important as sunscreen and shade. Do you know sunlight can damage the retina and lens of the eye, increasing the risk of long-term damage.

Hello welcome to mylot
Better not to take the baby out on sunny days, their eyes are more delicate than ours, no need of giving sun glass to them..
Thanks for sharing.
Welcome always.
Cheers.
