Why is it that boys never want to take a shower/bath?

Every day I go into battle just to get my boys clean. Why?

SOME OF THEM WON'T GROW OUT OF IT EITHER. I HAVE TO REMIND MY BOYFRIEND TO SHOWER ON OCCASION. I THINK HE SEES IT AS " I'M JUST GOING TO GET DIRTY AGAIN. WHAT'S THE POINT?'

I know what you mean. My little one said it to me once and I told him: "Ok, you will get hungry again, so I guess I won't cook dinner for you". He decided to take a shower.

I feel much better knowing I'm not the only one who goes through this.

Nope, you're not the only one. That's for sure! My boy is 11 years old, and it's battle to get him in the shower every time. He just wants to play and play all the time. My ex has a son who's 18, but back when he was 16, he was still having problems with getting him to take a shower. I sure hope it doesn't happen to me at that age! Good luck to ya!

My oldest one started complaining less when he turned 13. Notice I said complaining less, I didn't say "stop complaining". lol

I'll let you know! I'll even publish it everywhere! Maybe if we find the cause, we can find the solution.

How old are you? I'm sure you are not as young as my kids.

I have to agree entirely with you, it doesnt matter how bad they smell (boy sweat) or however dirty they are I always seem to get the same reply "I took a shower yesterday". I always win the battle though.

"I took a shower yesterday" is the answer I always get too.

my younger son is like that, but my older son is really good about personal hygiene. I think when girls are a factor they start taking better care of themselves...........

I can't wait for the day my little one starts to like girls. Right now he thinks they exist to bother him.

I guess I am a lucky one. Both of my boys love to take a shower or a bath everyday. My youngest is really obessed with being clean (body, clothes, bedding all included in that).

How old are your boys. My girls sometimes are hard to get washed up. I don't know what it is. My girls are 8 and 4 and it really surprises me because I had heard boys were much more difficult.

My boys are 13 and 9. The older one doesn't give me much trouble anymore because he has "discovered" girls and now he wants to look good, but the little one is still a pain.

That is a very reasonable question that even after my eldest son being 16yrs old, I am still trying to figure out. If your boys have not reached the age of wearing deodorant, just wait. I have to constantly ask my boys if they put any on! Do they like stinking? I ask them that all the time and their answer is always no. I don't get it.
