Christina Aguilera has a new album (Bionic) to be released this coming June 2010. It is her fourth studio album and her first studio album in four years since 2006's Back to Basics. The album's first single "Not Myself Tonight was released on April 13 and has reach top 40 positions on charts around the world.
For that, what can you say about her new album?

Honestly, I hate the album. I used to be a huge Christina fan, but now I think she is a sellout. I liked her first album and I thought her second was amazing. I wasn't crazy about her third. Now with this album, the sound of it, and just hearing how she is in interviews and seeing her music video, I know she's not who I thought she was. Her first album was trying to cash in on the success of Britney Spears. Her second was trying to cash in on P!nk's success. She suddenly released a spanish album when the latin music craze hit the states. And now that dance pop is huge with the likes of Lady GaGa and Ke$ha, she suddenly comes out with a dance album? To me it seems like she's not an artist like I previously thought she was, but more of a record label product following the trends. It's a shame because I think she has an amazing voice and it sucks that she's using it for what she's using it for. I've heard all of the songs in full because it leaked online and I think they're all awful. There was a reviewer from The Rolling Stones magazine who actually referred to the album as "The Outtakes of Fame" referring to Lady GaGa's debut album.
Like I said previously, I once loved Christina Aguilera, but I really do believe she's sold out completely (and kind of has been her entire career once I've thought about it) and isn't using her gift for something good.

for me i think the album "bionic" is great. i love the songs, it is again something new and different from christina. i think christina is a very talented and versatile musician, she is not afraid to experiment and try something different in her sound and music every time she comes out with a new record. every album she releases is different and i think that every artist will not always stick to one thing or the same look and sounds as their career goes on. we cannot always expect them to be singing the same songs all the time. "bionic" is a different christina but i still like it. she is truly a gifted singer and performer.
