I tag every single post and response. I have found out that it helps get more people to my post (when I start it) and more people to my response (however little it is). There are a lot of people who guide themselves by following a thread of tags. I open many times a post, read it and answer it because the tags guided me there.

Hi marguicha: I agree with you and that's also the reason why some discussions that should attracted a lot of people didn't receive the number of answers they deserve. In some cases, specially when you are not used to put tags, it's difficult for some of us to find a good tag according to the subject of our discussions but it's better to write some key words that would make looking for our topic even easier. Thanks for your answer. Have a nice day.

It helps a lot to learn how to tag when you read the tags other mylotters have written. I have said to myself: "such a good tag!" or "I´d never use that one".

Hello friend!!
There is nothing silly in this question... Tag has importance... and I use it with my every response.
If you are a content writer then can understand value or tags and keywords in better sense... using tags make it easy for others to find our content... So, it is preferred to write tags with discussion, responses, content...
Have nice time friend!!
Take care!!
Happy myLotting!!

Hi there Kourdapya!
I always put on tags on each of my replies but not on comments. I think that they are important so that when someone search mylot for certain topics, your post will appear in the results depending upon the tags that you put into your posts.

I think the very fact that the admin has provided a section to tag the discussions means that we have to tag them.that apart it is a good thing to do it since it shows up on the search engine, and it is good for the sites revenue..and we are part of it being members here

Hi kourdapya: I have to admit I'm too lazy to put tags on the discussions. Lol. XD. But I have done it in the last discussion I've created, I put the tags that I think were the most appropiated for the subject, I mean, that make people find my question in an easy way.. Thanks for making this question. Have a nice day.

I only add tags when responding to a discussion if I feel it is really necessary. If I happen upon a discussion that has no responses I always look to see if the person has used tags. More often than not they have either not entered tags or not entered them properly in order to have the discussion seen by enough people.

I don't tag all discussions, just those that I can p;ut in the proper keywords. If I can't find the proper ones then I just leave them. It does help for others to find a certain discussion, so I do tag whenever possible. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.
