I am always interested in what crafts others are doing. So tell me some good ideas about gifts to make for Grads, Dads, Weddings or any summer birthdays. Or tell me about the craft you are currently doing. I am working on a wedding cross stitch piece for my cousin who is getting married in June. It has ended up being a sort of detailed piece with lots of half stitches and embellishment stitches, but it is coming along rather well and I pleased with it so far. I think it will make a rather nice gift. So share with me ideas we could make for Grads, Dads, Birthdays or Weddings.

Well, I am in the process of looking to see what I want to make for people for Christmas. I have been thinking about making my own jelly's. I have also thought about making candles.
I know for my wedding almost three years ago I made my own silk flower bouquets and bountineers. I also made my own center pieces. I am in the process of writing some articles on how to have a great wedding on a budget. I have so many ideas that I used for my wedding and want to share with the rest of the world.
If anyone has any ideas for candles and jelly's please let me know, Thanks.

I have done homemade jelly before. When I made jelly I took square pieces of pretty material (Christmas themed if you want to do Christmas gifts) and tied them around the tops of the jelly jars with ribbon to make the jars look pretty. There are plenty of great jelly recipes out there and right now would be a great time to make jelly because you can get all kinds of fruit (on sale at the supermarket or at farmer's markets during the summer. If you need a recipes or more tips about make jelly let me know. Its a pretty easy thing to do and most people appreciate that kind of homemade gift.

Please send me some recipes. It sounds easy and I think it would be a lot of fun to make. I also make fudge and candy around hioliday time. Does anyone seem to know if you need a permit or license to sell baked goods on ebay?

I am not doing any crafts at the time being, but I like exchanging good craft ideas as much as you do. I do cross stich as well and I make windows decorations with special paint. They are a nice gift aswell, they don't damage your window and can be re-used aswell. You can make any image you like, so you could easily make one for a wedding aswell and stick it to the car for example.

Let the creative juices begin. There are so many wonderful ideas out there for all of the ideas you mentioned.
For the graduate, I like to make things I know they can use in college, for example, they are going to need storage and other accessories for their new rooms. Plastic canvas provides thousands of wonderful ideas. I have made notebook covers, desk top organizers, 3X5 card holders, special pencil holders and much more. I try and build a coordinated gift when the time comes.
For Dad's I try and base the ideas around their hobbies. For example, my father likes to fish and go camping. He is always in need of something. Once again plastic canvas comes into play, I have actually created special boxes for the fly catching hooks that he wants to keep looking new and stuff. Oh sure they might get full of fish guts, but if you make them using the plastic lace that is on the market, they can be washed with simple soap and water.
I'm loaded with ideas as you can see. I have more if you want them.
Happy Crafting!
